En esa \u00e9poca toda la publicidad de Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas estaba orientada a mostrar a la empresa como \u201cuna empresa de vuelo mundial\u201d, que ser\u00eda la primera en operar con jets en el Atl\u00e1ntico Sur. La imagen permanente de todos los avisos era la del reactor ingl\u00e9s, y repentinamente aparece el dibujito de un Douglas DC-3, operando en el interior del pa\u00eds, con muy poca infraestructura, incluyendo el detalle de la peque\u00f1a caja con bater\u00edas que reemplazaba al grupo electr\u00f3geno en esos lugares.<\/p>\n<p>La inauguraci\u00f3n de esta escala, y algunas otras en la Mesopotamia, seg\u00fan declaraba en ese momento la empresa, era reforzar la presencia de los servicios a\u00e9reos en todo el pa\u00eds. Un mensaje coherente con la pol\u00edtica tradicional de Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas. En rigor de verdad, los dos vuelos semanales anunciados eran, en realidad, el agregado de una escala intermedia en vuelos preexistentes a Resistencia.<\/p>\n<p>Pero el tema no termin\u00f3 en lo est\u00e9tico, porque cuando lleg\u00f3 el momento de inaugurar los servicios, unos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s, tambi\u00e9n lleg\u00f3 el papel\u00f3n. La Secretar\u00eda de Aeron\u00e1utica no permiti\u00f3 la operaci\u00f3n porque la empresa estatal no ten\u00eda el permiso correspondiente, lo que fue reconocido por \u00e9sta, que emiti\u00f3 un comunicado, el 4 de marzo, aclarando que la negativa se encontraba en todo ajustada a las disposiciones legales vigentes para otorgar la concesi\u00f3n de nuevas rutas, porque Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas no hab\u00eda cumplido en su pedido con los requisitos correspondientes.<\/p>\n<p>La historia ni empez\u00f3 ni termin\u00f3 all\u00ed. Era un cap\u00edtulo m\u00e1s de una cruenta guerra que se hab\u00eda instalado en la Argentina a partir de 1957 por el mercado aerocomercial. Por un lado estaba la empresa estatal y, por el otro, innumerables empresas privadas, encolumnadas en una especie de c\u00e1mara llamada Asociaci\u00f3n Argentina de Transportadores A\u00e9reos (AATA), que pugnaban por ocupar el lugar de Aerol\u00edneas.<\/p>\n<p>La verdadera lucha era por conseguir subsidios. Ninguno de los dos sectores pod\u00eda sobrevivir con su capacidad propia de generaci\u00f3n de fondos.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/mercedes2.jpg?w=1140\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aviso de lanzamiento de Norsur, publicado en los diarios de Buenos Aires del 29 de marzo de 1959 (imagen: archivo Pablo Luciano Potenze).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Entre las empresas privadas del momento estaba Norsur, que hab\u00eda programado volar a Mercedes desde mediados de marzo. Evidentemente el objetivo de Aerol\u00edneas no era dar un servicio m\u00e1s, era coparle la parada a su competidora.<br \/>Pero desde el punto de vista de la coherencia la posici\u00f3n de Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas era pobr\u00edsima, porque al mismo tiempo que intentaba volar sin tener los papeles en regla, unos meses atr\u00e1s hab\u00eda hecho un esfuerzo pol\u00edtico importante para tratar de impedir que se le dieran concesiones a Transcontinental, otra competidora.<\/p>\n<p>Norsur dur\u00f3 poco. Nunca tuvo el capital necesario para funcionar, enfrent\u00f3 problemas graves con el mantenimiento de sus Lockheed Lodestar, tuvo serios conflictos gremiales y, en octubre de 1960, fue intervenida judicialmente como paso previo a su cierre definitivo.<\/p>\n<p>Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas cumpli\u00f3 con todas las formalidades, lo que le llev\u00f3 tiempo. Reci\u00e9n en agosto de 1960 pudo inaugurar los vuelos a Mercedes, que se mantuvieron hasta alrededor de 1970.  <\/p>\n<hr>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La proclamada conectividad de la l\u00ednea a\u00e9rea de bandera, fue siempre su tradicional estandarte.
