A las convenciones suelen concurrit un gran n\u00famero de war birds y asistente personificando a personal militar de otra \u00e9poca (foto: Ricardo Viti).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Suelo concurrir todos los a\u00f1os a la gran convenci\u00f3n anual que la EAA celebra en el Wittman Regional Airport (Wisconsin), llamada Air Venture, aunque es mas conocida por el nombre de la cercana ciudad de Oshkosh. Junto con Sun \u00b4n Fun que se celebra en Lakeland (Florida), son las dos grandes mecas de la aviaci\u00f3n deportiva norteamericana.<br \/>Este a\u00f1o decid\u00ed hacer algo diferente, en vez de ir a Oshkosh por la ma\u00f1ana y volver a casa al atardecer, me fui la noche anterior y regres\u00e9 el d\u00eda despu\u00e9s. Para ello acamp\u00e9 al lado del lago Winnebago, en un camping llamado Kalbus. En total este a\u00f1o fuimos unos 36.000 los acampantes, y la raz\u00f3n de esto es que pudimos disfrutar mejor del lanzamiento de globos al amanecer y la acrobacia nocturna despu\u00e9s del atardecer.<\/p>\n<p>Por la ma\u00f1ana me levante con una tenue llovizna y techo de nubes muy bajo. Me fui al aeropuerto y all\u00ed estaban los cinco globos. Debido a la meteorolog\u00eda solo los inflaron. Lo mas interesante fue un globo \u2018ultraliviano\u2019 categor\u00eda 103 para una persona solamente. Tambi\u00e9n estuvo Jonathan Trappe quien dispone de un particular racimo de globos de helio, simulando al que aparece en la pel\u00edcula de dibujos animas \u00abUp\u00bb de Disney Pixar. El particular personaje lleg\u00f3 Oshkosh a media ma\u00f1ana tras haber partido desde el aeropuerto Pioneer y luego de once horas de navegaci\u00f3n nocturna.<\/p>\n<p>Luego comenc\u00e9 a caminar por el aeropuerto. Este a\u00f1o hubo mas actividad en la zona de ultralivianos, 42 stands en vez de 9 los dos a\u00f1os anteriores. Debido al 75 aniversario de los DC-3s llegaron aproximadamente 35 a Oshkosh, todos en condiciones de vuelo, tambi\u00e9n vi un par de A-4Bs Skyhawks que no hab\u00edan aparecido el a\u00f1o anterior. La estrella fue el C-5C Galaxy. La USAF llev\u00f3 dos, uno normalmente volando y el otro en exposici\u00f3n est\u00e1tica, este ultimo con las puertas delantera y trasera abiertas para que la gente pudiera, caminando por la bodega, atravesarlos. Como siempre hacen, las fuerzas armadas norteamericanas contribuyeron con algunas aeronaves m\u00e1s, se pudo ver un C-130 Hercules, un KC-135, una pareja de Hornets, un V-22 Osprey.<\/p>\n<p>Una novedad interesante son los aviones el\u00e9ctricos. Empezaron a aparecer desde hace dos a\u00f1os como prototipos, pero ahora la empresa Yuneec los tiene a la venta, en tres modelos, un motovelero, un ultraliviano y un avi\u00f3n deportivo para dos plazas, muy bonito. <\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/oshk0.jpg?w=1140\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">El stand de la empresa Yuneec presentando a sus modelos con monitorizaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica. A priori no pude establecer si fue por razones de costo, o para hacer algo diferente. Lo que sin duda fue una novedad fue el nuevo show de la noche, que result\u00f3 espectacular y fascin\u00f3 a la multitud presente. La aventura nocturna duro m\u00e1s de una hora, y participaron un par de Texan del AeroShell Aerobatic Team, un biplano y un motovelero a reacci\u00f3n. Todos ellos con soltando fuegos artificiales por las puntas de las alas, y tambi\u00e9n bengalas, al tiempo que realizan vuelos acrob\u00e1ticos con m\u00fasica de fondo. Tal fue el \u00e9xito del primer espect\u00e1culo a\u00e9reo nocturno que ya esta anunciado para la Air Venture 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Este a\u00f1o tambi\u00e9n se vivieron momentos de tensi\u00f3n, pues el Hawker Beechcraft 390 (Premier IA) N6JR, se accident\u00f3 en la aproximaci\u00f3n final para el aterrizaje a la pista 18R, sobre las 18:16 del d\u00eda martes 27 de Julio de 2010. A bordo volaban Roush Fenway, Jack Roush y un amigo. Los tres ocupantes resultaron con heridas leves, pero el avi\u00f3n quedo partido en tres pedazos.
