Carlos Ay).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Para nuestra sorpresa, la m\u00e1quina conservaba el esquema de pintura con el cual sali\u00f3\u00a0de f\u00e1brica en el a\u00f1o 2006\u00a0y\u00a0con el cual evidentemente oper\u00f3\u00a0los \u00faltimos\u00a0nueve\u00a0a\u00f1os tanto en Estados Unidos como en M\u00e9xico y Brasil.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan nuestros colegas de Infodefensa, la m\u00e1quina fue adquirida en US $ 3.400.000 a la firma <strong>Tecno Jet Ltda.<\/strong>, quien habr\u00eda gestionado su adquisici\u00f3n en Brasil y su adaptaci\u00f3n a las necesidades de su nuevo operador\u00a0en <strong>Central Coast Aviation Services<\/strong>, de Salinas (California, EE.UU.).<\/p>\n<p>Adjudicada la licitaci\u00f3n correspondiente en el mes de enero, la m\u00e1quina habr\u00eda volado a los EE.UU. y, tras su conversi\u00f3n en Salinas, inici\u00f3 el periplo de internaci\u00f3n a Chile,\u00a0ingresando al pa\u00eds por Arica\u00a0el 4 de abril de 2015, con escala previa en Dos\u00bb posee un\u00a0completo sistema integrado de <strong>avi\u00f3nica tipo \u00abglass cockpit\u00bb<\/strong> Collins\u00a0Pro Line 21 con\u00a0sistemas de navegaci\u00f3n y comunicaciones NAV\u20104000 y\u00a0VHF\u20104000\u00a0(dual), piloto autom\u00e1tico\u00a0FGC\u20103000, computador\u00a0ADC\u20103000,\u00a0radar\u00a0TWR\u2010850,\u00a0transponders\u00a0TDR\u201094 Modo S, radioalt\u00edmetro\u00a0ALT\u20104000, radiocompases\u00a0AHC3000\u00a0AHRS,\u00a0DME\u20104000 y\u00a0ADF\u20103010, todos tambi\u00e9n de la actual Rockwell\u00a0Collins.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s,\u00a0cuenta con\u00a0alerta terreno (EGPWS)\u00a0Honeywell Mark VIII,\u00a0alerta de tr\u00e1fico (TCAS\u2010I)\u00a0BF Goodrich Skywatch,\u00a0registrador de voz L3 Communications FA2100\u00a0y\u00a0localizador\u00a0de emergencia ELT 4061.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Serial number BB-1932:\u00a0De Wichita a Tobalaba<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Con todo ese equipamiento, m\u00e1s la instalaci\u00f3n de\u00a0una camilla tipo Spectrum para terapia intensiva, la m\u00e1quina ser\u00e1 empleada en operaciones de patrullaje policial y fronterizo, actividades de lucha contra el tr\u00e1fico de drogas, transporte de pasajeros y carga\u00a0y evacuaciones aerom\u00e9dicas de urgencia.<\/p>\n<p>El aparato fue construido en 2006 por la entonces <strong>Hawker Beechcraft<\/strong>\u00a0en una de sus plantas de la ciudad de Wichita (Kansas, EE.UU.)\u00a0y, al momento de su adquisici\u00f3n, contaba con un total 1.813\u00a0horas de vuelo;\u00a0lo que le deja un buen remanente de vida \u00fatil si se lo compara con ejemplares King Air m\u00e1s viejos\u00a0que de todos modos circulan en el mercado norteamericano y tienen hasta siete\u00a0veces m\u00e1s
