A la participaci\u00f3n confirmada del EC-135 de la Gendarmer\u00eda, de hecho, solo nos atrevimos a sumar la presencia institucional de INVAP, CITEFA, Redimec, Helicenter y LMAASA. Nuestra \u00fanica apuesta m\u00e1s o menos segura era en favor de la presencia de un AT-63 Pampa; obviamente como parte de la presentaci\u00f3n corporativa de su casa matriz (Lockheed Martin).<\/p>\n<p>A medida que se aproximaba la inauguraci\u00f3n de la feria, nuestras cautas expectativas comenzaron a ser superadas por una\u00a0sorpresa creciente. A mediados de marzo, se confirm\u00f3 la apuesta del AT-63. Pocos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s descubrimos que tambi\u00e9n se presentar\u00eda un demostrador del Bell 407 de origen civil. Una semana antes de la feria, Bell y el Ej\u00e9rcito Argentino nos sacudieron con el anuncio de que el UH-1H Huey II argentino acababa de concretar su primer cruce de la Cordillera de los Andes y volaba hacia Pudahuel. Y nuestra primera recorrida a la feria durante el d\u00eda de prensa (domingo 26), remat\u00f3 con un par de agregados inesperados: Un Cessna 182 modificado con motor aeron\u00e1utico \u00abgasolero\u00bb y, ocupando un sitial de privilegio en el stand de la Rep\u00fablica Checa, un avi\u00f3n deportivo Sport Star con matr\u00edcula experimental de nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Huey II, Pampa y Eurocopter 135<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>La presencia de aeronaves militares argentinas estuvo enteramente patrocinada por sus constructores o proveedores: el AT-63 Pampa lleg\u00f3 de la mano de Lockheed Martin, el EC-135 de EADS\/Eurocopter y el UH-1H Huey II de Bell. Los tres modelos realizaban su primera presentaci\u00f3n en la feria y lo hicieron poco tiempo despu\u00e9s de ingresar al mundillo aeron\u00e1utico argentino: El <strong>AT-63 EX-03<\/strong> realiz\u00f3 su primer vuelo en C\u00f3rdoba el 30 de junio de 2005, el <strong>Huey II AE-480<\/strong> hizo lo propio en Campo de Mayo en agosto y el <strong>EC-135 GN-925<\/strong> hab\u00eda ingresado al pa\u00eds a fines de enero de este a\u00f1o. Provenientes del mercado civil, tambi\u00e9n llegaron en vuelo a Arturo Merino Ben\u00edtez el demostrador <strong>Bell 407 LV-BDI<\/strong>\u00a0(originalmente se proyectaba la presencia del LQ-BBR) y el <strong>Cessna 182 LV-OIV<\/strong>, prototipo dotado de motor diesel SR305-230 de la firma francesa SMA (Safran Group), cuya tecnolog\u00eda le permite consumir combustible Jet A1. Gracias a sus prestaciones y econom\u00eda, el Oscar-India-Victor realiz\u00f3 el vuelo directo entre Buenos Aires y Santiago sin escalas intermedias. La \u00faltima aeronave de origen argentino presente en la feria (y la \u00fanica que no habr\u00eda llegado en vuelo) era el\u00a0<strong>Evektor SportStar LV-X312<\/strong>, un experimental de la categor\u00eda S-LSA (Light Sport Aircraft), certificado bajo la Parte 21 de la normativa EASA y propulsado por motor Bombardier Rotax 912 ULS de 100 HP cuyos kits se fabrican y distribuyen desde la Rep\u00fablica Checa.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien solo el Bell 407 estaba agendado en la \u00abpizarra de vuelo\u00bb de la exposici\u00f3n, varios de los dem\u00e1s aparatos fueron observados realizando vuelos de demostraci\u00f3n para el periodismo o potenciales clientes. El EC-135 de la Gendarmer\u00eda fue empleado por Eurocopter Chile, la filial local de EADS que dirige Bernhard Brenner, para presentarlo a sus referentes del mercado local. El Huey II, por su parte, fue observado sobrevolando la Regi\u00f3n Metropolitana en varias oportunidades durante la semana que dur\u00f3 la exposici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El vuelo m\u00e1s inesperado, pero al mismo tiempo m\u00e1s relevante, fue el que realiz\u00f3 el AT-63 con el Comandante en Jefe de la FACH, general <strong>Osvaldo Sarabia Vilches<\/strong>, abordo. La demostraci\u00f3n tuvo lugar el s\u00e1bado 1 de abril por la ma\u00f1ana y permiti\u00f3 que el militar chileno evaluara el Pampa en vuelo entre Pudahuel y Rancagua, 80 Km. al Sur de Santiago. Seg\u00fan el primer teniente argentino Sergio Brollo, piloto del Centro de Ensayos en Vuelo que comandaba el Pampa, \u00e9l solo puso el avi\u00f3n en marcha y Sarabia lo tripul\u00f3 el resto de la misi\u00f3n. En declaraciones a la prensa, el general chileno asever\u00f3 que el vuelo fue \u00abuna experiencia fant\u00e1stica\u00bb y elogi\u00f3 el comportamiento del AT-63. La principal concentraci\u00f3n de <strong>stands argentinos<\/strong> se encontraba en el pabell\u00f3n B, donde se alojaron Redimec, CITEFA y la Fuerza A\u00e9rea Argentina conjuntamente con INVAP. La firma tandilense promocionaba en Santiago toda su gama de servicios de mantenimiento y desarrollo de sistemas, log\u00edstica aeron\u00e1utica y re-ingenier\u00eda para la modernizaci\u00f3n de equipos electr\u00f3nicos. CITEFA hizo lo propio con el proyecto SIMRA II, un simulador computarizado de tiro para fusiles y pistolas. La FAA e INVAP exhib\u00edan\u00a0aqu\u00ed su consola de presentaci\u00f3n de datos de radar FAS-1060 \u00abArgos\u00bb y otros productos y servicios de la firma tecnol\u00f3gica basada en Bariloche. En otros edificios de la muestra pod\u00edan observarse los stands de la firma de mantenimiento de helic\u00f3pteros Servicios Helicenter (pabell\u00f3n A), la consultora de defensa Codesur (pabell\u00f3n D) y la proveedora de sistemas de mensajer\u00eda para control de tr\u00e1nsito a\u00e9reo Radiocom Inc. (pabell\u00f3n F), que no disimulaba su acento argentino a pesar del domicilio declarado en Coral Gables, Florida (EE.UU.).<\/p>\n<p>Lo m\u00e1s interesante de la presencia argentina en este terreno, sin embargo, fue la conferencia que el martes 28 por la tarde dieron el comodoro <strong>Guillermo Saravia<\/strong>, de la Direcci\u00f3n General de Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo (FAA), y el ingeniero <strong>Ricardo Sagarzazu<\/strong>, de la Gerencia de Proyectos Espaciales (INVAP). Saravia hizo una s\u00f3lida presentaci\u00f3n de la <strong>consola multiprop\u00f3sito Argos<\/strong>, con la cual la DGID tiene previsto resolver distintas aplicaciones para la visualizaci\u00f3n de datos de radar en funciones de control de tr\u00e1nsito a\u00e9reo (control en ruta, \u00e1rea terminal y aproximaci\u00f3n) y vigilancia y control del espacio a\u00e9reo (defensa a\u00e9rea). Bautizado con el nombre de Argos Panoptes (gigante mitol\u00f3gico de cien ojos que al dormir manten\u00eda varios de ellos abiertos, constituy\u00e9ndose en un excelente guardi\u00e1n), el sistema servir\u00e1 para reemplazar varias consolas preexistentes en la FAA (las \u00abDI\u00bb y \u00abDa Vinci\u00bb de control a\u00e9reo y las \u00abOscar\u00bb y \u00abUPA 62\u00bb de vigilancia militar).<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto busca estandarizar equipamiento, abaratar y normalizar la log\u00edstica asociada (hardware y software), simplificar el entrenamiento de operadores y t\u00e9cnicos, proveer informaci\u00f3n en tiempo real y de manera continua (\u00abH24\u00bb) utilizando tecnolog\u00edas disponibles comercialmente y cumpliendo normativas OACI, ISO 9001 y MIL-STD-1521B. El sistema, que puede operar sobre PCs est\u00e1ndares o endurecidas, se encuentra en pleno proceso de homologaci\u00f3n previo a su entrada en servicio en los comandos de Regiones A\u00e9reas (terminales a\u00e9reas de Buenos Aires, C\u00f3rdoba y Mendoza) y Operaciones A\u00e9reas (radares TPS-43E).
