Como nuestros lectores recordar\u00e1n, Saab supo\u00a0presentarse con hasta dos o m\u00e1s aviones Gripen en vuelo y otros tantos productos de aplicaci\u00f3n civil y militar en las \u00faltimas ferias de aquella\u00a0d\u00e9cada; pero no logr\u00f3 adjudicarse el contrato m\u00e1s jugoso de las FIDAEs de esa \u00e9poca\u00a0(tal como se ilustra en, por ejemplo,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/?p=7253\" target=\"_blank\">\u00abShowbiz FIDAE \u201898\u00bb<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>A\u00fan a pesar de la percepci\u00f3n generalizada de crisis y retroceso econ\u00f3mico de la regi\u00f3n, Saab considera que Am\u00e9rica Latina\u00a0es un mercado din\u00e1mico en el que se aprecian\u00a0oportunidades de negocios\u00a0que podr\u00edan aportar a la\u00a0expansi\u00f3n sostenida que la firma sueca\u00a0viene registrando hace varios a\u00f1os. Y\u00a0se considera un competidor relevante dado que asegura\u00a0ser uno de los pocos proveedores de soluciones aeroespaciales, de defensa\u00a0y\u00a0seguridad que pueden proporcionar una gama de productos efectivos y eficaces como los suyos.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, consideran que FIDAE es la mayor exhibici\u00f3n de la industria aeroespacial y de defensa en Am\u00e9rica Latina y la identifican como un evento de <strong>importancia\u00a0estrat\u00e9gica<\/strong> para proyectarse en la regi\u00f3n.\u00a0No en vano,\u00a0<strong>Fredrik Gustafson<\/strong>, responsable de comercializaci\u00f3n y ventas para el mercado\u00a0latinoamericano, afirmaba pocos d\u00edas antes\u00a0de la\u00a0muestra que\u00a0<em>\u201cpor toda Am\u00e9rica Latina, Saab es conocido [sic] como un asociado confiable y una fuente estrat\u00e9gica de tecnolog\u00eda para la defensa y la seguridad, que est\u00e1 ayudando a salvaguardar a la gente y a la sociedad\u201d<\/em>.
