height: 251px;\" \/> <\/a> <div class=\"tiled-gallery-caption\" itemprop=\"caption description\"> Torito rodando por la losa de FIDAE (foto: Mauricio Chiofalo) <\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <!-- close group --> <\/div> <!-- close row --> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>El inicio del programa KTX destinado a desarrollar una aeronave capaz de reemplazar a los T-41 y T-37 de la Han Guk Gong Gun o Republic Of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) tuvo su punto de partida en el a\u00f1o 1988. En su dise\u00f1o se emple\u00f3 intensivamente el software CATIA, esto fue seguido por la fabricaci\u00f3n de 9 prototipos, uno de ellos para ensayos de fatiga.<\/p>\n<p>El primer KTX-1 \u201cYeo-Myung\u201d tuvo su vuelo inaugural en noviembre de 1991. En 1995 la aeronave recibi\u00f3 oficialmente la denominaci\u00f3n \u201cWoongbee.\u201d El \u00faltimo vuelo de prueba se realiz\u00f3 en 1998. El siguiente paso fue la firma del contrato por 85 ejemplares, m\u00e1s una opci\u00f3n por 20 adicionales, cosa que se hizo al a\u00f1o siguiente. La producci\u00f3n fue desarrollada en conjunto entre Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) y la Agency of Defence Development (ADD).<\/p>\n<p>La introducci\u00f3n formal a la ROKAF tuvo lugar durante el a\u00f1o 2000. En 2002 se complet\u00f3 la producci\u00f3n de los 85 ejemplares.<\/p>\n<p>La ROKAF opera estas aeronaves en las siguientes unidades, bajo la orbita de la 3 Training Wing se encuentran los 213, 215, 217 y 236 Flight Training Squadron, que nuclean al grueso de los KT-1. El 52 Test Evaluation Group del que depende el 281 Test Evaluation Squadron que con XKT-1. Y finalmente la 15 Tactical Air Transport Wing que opera sus KA-1 dentro del 237 Tactical Control Squadron.<\/p>\n<p>Existen algunas discrepancias sobre las denominaciones de las distintas versiones de estas aeronaves, pero la mayor\u00eda de las fuentes suelen coincidir en que esta familia est\u00e1 compuesta por cinco variantes:<\/p>\n<h3>KTX-1 Yeo-Myung<\/h3>\n<p>Estos son los prototipos empleados en la fase de desarrollo que entre otras funciones han servido para probar distintas plantas propulsoras.<\/p>\n<h3>KA-1<\/h3>\n<p>Es la versi\u00f3n armada del KT-1, que adem\u00e1s de ser empleado para adiestramiento cuenta con capacidades de ataque ligero y control a\u00e9reo avanzado. En 1999 se firmo un contrato entre KAI y el Ministerio de Defensa de Corea del Sur por 20 de estos ejemplares. Estos se caracterizan por contar con cinco puntos duros, dos debajo de cada ala y uno debajo del fuselaje, que permiten portar tanques de combustible, bombas, coheteras de siete bocas LAU-131 y pods para ametralladoras HMP de 12.7 mm. En lo que respecta a la avi\u00f3nica, dispone de dos MFD (Multi Function Display), que representar informaci\u00f3n de vuelo y navegaci\u00f3n y el correspondiente a las estaciones de armamento. Sin embargo en Am\u00e9rica Latina el candidato m\u00e1s firme es Paraguay quien, ante la necesidad de reemplazo de sus Embraer EMB-312 Tucano tuvo un ofrecimiento de Corea del Sur a para ensamblar 12 aviones en Paraguay con transferencia de tecnolog\u00eda a un costo de 130 millones de U$D en 2014. Este habr\u00eda incluido un simulador de vuelo y 400 \u00edtems de repuestos y entrenamiento a t\u00e9cnicos paraguayos. Este acuerdo incluy\u00f3 diez KT-1 para ser empleados como entrenadores y otros diez ejemplares armados para operaciones antisubversivas en el Valle de los R\u00edos Apurimac y Ene (VRAE), las mismas servir\u00e1n como reemplazo de los EMB 312 Tucano y Alenia MB-339.<\/p>\n<p>Los cuatro primeros ejemplares fueron completamente manufacturados por KAI mientras que los restantes 16 son coproducidos en Per\u00fa por el Servicio de Mantenimiento (SEMAN) de la FAP.<\/p>\n<p>A esto se sum\u00f3 un Programa de Compensaciones Industriales (Offset) que incluy\u00f3 coproducci\u00f3n de piezas y partes, un simulador de vuelo, un centro de pruebas funcionales y transferencia de tecnolog\u00eda de UAV.<\/p>\n<p>La denominaci\u00f3n adoptada para estos entrenadores fue <strong>KT-1P \u201cTorito\u201d<\/strong> en honor al avi\u00f3n North American NA-50 que fuera pilotado por Capit\u00e1n Jos\u00e9 Qui\u00f1ones Gonz\u00e1les, considerado este como h\u00e9roe nacional.<\/p>\n<p>En 2013 se inici\u00f3 la remodelaci\u00f3n de un hangar de la Base A\u00e9rea Las Palmas a fin de establecer all\u00ed la l\u00ednea de montaje de los KT-1P.<\/p>\n<p>El 21 de mayo de 2014 KAI anunci\u00f3 que comenz\u00f3 la producci\u00f3n de los KT-1P a ser entregados a Per\u00fa, cuyos primeros ejemplares recibidos, FAP 400 y FAP 402, fueron presentados el 22 de octubre del mismo a\u00f1o en una ceremonia presidida por el Presidente Ollanta Humala, las dos aeronaves restantes fueron recibidas en el mes de noviembre.<\/p>\n<p>Su unidad de asiento es la Escuela de Formaci\u00f3n de Pilotos (EFOPI) del Escuadr\u00f3n A\u00e9reo 512 del Grupo A\u00e9reo N\u00b0 51 con asiento en la Base A\u00e9rea \u00abCapit\u00e1n FAP Reman El\u00edas Olivera,\u00bb Pisco.<\/p>\n<p>La presentaci\u00f3n del primer ejemplar coproducido \u00edntegramente en Per\u00fa, FAP 419, tuvo lugar el 21 de abril de 2015 durante una ceremonia realizada en la Base A\u00e9rea Las Palmas, la misma cont\u00f3 con la presencia del Presidente Humala, su hom\u00f3loga surcoreana, Park Geun-hye, el Presidente del Consejo de Ministros Pedro Cateriano Bellido, el Ministro de Defensa Jakke Valakivi \u00c1lvarez y el Comandante General de la FAP General del Aire Dante Ar\u00e9valo Abate.<\/p>\n<p>Entre los d\u00edas 15 y 30 de mazo cuatro KT-1P realizaron un tour que contempl\u00f3 las bases de Arequipa y Chiclayo a fin de demostrar sus capacidades con demostraciones en vuelo.<\/p>\n<p>En horas de la tarde del 26 de marzo del 2016 el FAP 427 y el FAP 433 en compa\u00f1\u00eda de dos Alenia C-27J Spartan del Grupo A\u00e9reo N\u00b0 8 hicieron su arribo al Aeropuerto Internacional Comodoro Arturo Merino Ben\u00edtez de Santiago de Chile a fin de participar de la Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio FIDAE 2016, all\u00ed hicieron su primer vuelo de demostraci\u00f3n en la tarde del d\u00eda 29 de marzo.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"tiled-gallery type-rectangular tiled-gallery-unresized\" data-original-width=\"1140\" data-carousel-extra='{&quot;blog_id&quot;:1,&quot;permalink&quot;:&quot;https:\\\/\\\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\\\/gaceta\\\/wp-101\\\/kt-1p-torito-pas-fidae\\\/&quot;,&quot;likes_blog_id&quot;:26943182}' itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/ImageGallery\" > <div class=\"gallery-row\" style=\"width: 1140px;
