Desde los d\u00edas 16 al 27 de Mayo se ha desarrollado el ejercicio propiamente dicho, si bien, y como todos sabemos, el esfuerzo organizativo se extiende semanas por delante y por detr\u00e1s de estas fechas.<\/p>\n<h2>Ala 15, un reto<\/h2>\n<p>Espa\u00f1a ha acogido por tercera vez este evento aeron\u00e1utico, habi\u00e9ndose celebrado con anterioridad en Albacete, en 1992 y en 2006. El Ala 15 del Ej\u00e9rcito del Aire ha sido la unidad responsable de la organizaci\u00f3n del ejercicio en 2016. La celebraci\u00f3n del Tiger Meet junto con los habituales Sirio y Tormenta, unidos al despliegue que se realizar\u00e1 en Agosto para participar en Red Flag 2016, confirman la elevada capacidad demostrada por esta unidad. En este periodo se vuelan todo tipo de misiones de entrenamiento, incluyendo formaciones mixtas en las que los escuadrones tienen una oportunidad extraordinaria para trabajar mano a mano con las otras unidades participantes. Un total de 50-60 salidas suelen conformar este periodo matutino. Es importante rese\u00f1ar en este punto que Tiger Meet es un ejercicio que se focaliza en misiones aire-aire, si bien cuenta con la participaci\u00f3n de helic\u00f3pteros y bombarderos..<\/p>\n<p>La segunda oleada o Main Mission es una COMAO en la que participan todos los medios desplegados en el ejercicio. El periodo de vuelo suele incluir unas 60-70 salidas, incluyendo los AWACS que en esta ocasi\u00f3n han sido los E-3 de la NATO y los E-2 de la Marine Nationale francesa. La Main Mission se desarrolla simult\u00e1neamente en diversas zonas del espacio a\u00e9reo espa\u00f1ol, incluyendo Deltas en Zaragoza, Teruel, Albacete, Murcia y Baleares. Esto nos da una idea del volumen y de la complejidad que pueden llegar a tener estas COMAO. Sus instalaciones, tanto por dimensionamiento como por capacidades, son imprescindibles cuando se trata de sacar adelante un evento de esta magnitud.<\/p>\n<p>La plataforma Sur de la base ha sido el escenario principal en el que se han desarrollado las operaciones a\u00e9reas. De hecho Trident Junture 2015 cont\u00f3 con la presencia de m\u00e1s personal. Sin embargo Tiger Meet ha marcado la diferencia en un aspecto cr\u00edtico, la coordinaci\u00f3n y el control de las actividades a\u00e9reas. En este aspecto el reto que ha afrontado la Escuadrilla de Control de Tr\u00e1nsito \u00c1ereo ha sido superado con un sobresaliente.<\/p>\n<h2>Tiger Meet, el espect\u00e1culo<\/h2>\n<p>Tiger Meet es, sin lugar a dudas, punto de encuentro de los aficionados a la aviaci\u00f3n de todo el mundo. En esta ocasi\u00f3n la Base A\u00e9rea de Zaragoza, con el Ala 15 a la cabeza, ha hecho un esfuerzo enorme para poder dar a los aficionados la oportunidad de poder ver Tiger Meet desde dentro.<\/p>\n<p>El d\u00eda 20 de Mayo tuvo lugar el Spotter\u2019s Day, una jornada reservada a los aficionados m\u00e1s \u201cprofesionales\u201d. M\u00e1s de 1500 personas, provenientes de los lugares m\u00e1s diversos que uno pueda imaginar, participaron en esta jornada. Este nivel de participaci\u00f3n es una cifra realmente importante, casi de record, y sin duda marcar\u00e1 un antes y un despu\u00e9s en este tipo de jornadas. Durante todo el d\u00eda los spotters estuvieron empotrados dentro del Tiger Meet, pudiendo disfrutar en primera l\u00ednea de dos turnos de vuelo. En el primero se coordin\u00f3, ex profeso, un periodo en el que participaron las aeronaves con los esquemas de pintura m\u00e1s vistosos. La afluencia de p\u00fablico fue masiva y las exhibiciones hicieron las delicias de los asistentes (se informar\u00e1 en nota aparte).<\/p>\n<p>En este punto es imprescindible reconocer el esfuerzo que ha realizado el personal del Escuadr\u00f3n de Seguridad de la Base A\u00e9rea de Zaragoza y el Ala 15, prestando un apoyo incondicional a la realizaci\u00f3n de ambas jornadas.
