Iberia ten\u00eda el monopolio y lo interpret\u00f3 del peor modo, exigi\u00f3 a los pasajeros que se adaptaran a lo que ella estaba dispuesta a ofrecer. No s\u00f3lo cort\u00f3 las comidas, cort\u00f3 rutas y frecuencias, y no invirti\u00f3 en las empresas que ahora controlaba.<\/p>\n<p>El problema empez\u00f3 cuando, a mediados de los a\u00f1os noventa, aparecieron nuevas compa\u00f1\u00edas que plantearon la competencia en las rutas de cabotaje. La primera fue LAPA, que bas\u00f3 su oferta en el precio, pero despu\u00e9s vinieron otras, que plantearon matices.<\/p>\n<p>LAPA, que comenz\u00f3 a operar con Boeing 737\/200 en 1993, no quiso, en el primer momento, plantear un servicio totalmente <i>no frills<\/i> y ofreci\u00f3 algo raro: no daba nada de lo conocido, pero en cambio serv\u00eda una copa de champagne. En el espacio reservado para restricciones y endosos, arriba a la izquierda, figura claramente que el vuelo es \u201csin servicio de comidas\u201d (colecci\u00f3n PLP).<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Pero con el tiempo estos servicios se fueron eliminando y lleg\u00f3 un momento en que no se sirvi\u00f3 absolutamente nada, lo que motiv\u00f3 las iras de los pasajeros. Cansada del problema, LAPA decidi\u00f3 aclarar en los pasajes que no hab\u00eda servicio de comidas.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9ste era el panorama cuando Dinar entr\u00f3 en la competencia dom\u00e9stica argentina. El aviso que encabeza esta nota, publicado en <i>Clar\u00edn<\/i> del 8 de junio de 1999, promocionando sus comidas de a bordo es una muestra del marketing de esta compa\u00f1\u00eda, pero fue mucho m\u00e1s que esto, porque hasta los horarios hac\u00edan referencia a las comidas.<\/p>\n<p>Hay muchas piezas publicitarias referidas al catering y al Gato Dumas en Dinar.
