A lo largo de casi toda la historia estas empresas tuvieron tarifas iguales, sin posibilidad de modificarlas, porque la pol\u00edtica era as\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Entonces, el estudio debe escarbar en otros elementos para entender c\u00f3mo hac\u00edan para atraer a sus pasajeros. Es dif\u00edcil explicar que ALA y Austral hayan competido con los novedosos jets Caravelle usando vetustos Douglas DC-6B entre 1962 y 1967. Es cierto que en este per\u00edodo las tarifas no eran iguales para jet y h\u00e9lice, pero a\u00fan en el sector de las h\u00e9lices los Avro 748 de la empresa estatal eran mucho m\u00e1s modernos, aunque m\u00e1s apretados.<\/p>\n<p>Del an\u00e1lisis de las publicidades surgen dos temas que son recurrentes, el catering, y el cumplimiento de los horarios. Aqu\u00ed fue donde ALA y Austral basaron su mensaje, y aparentemente funcion\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Se dice, adem\u00e1s, que los aviones de Austral volaban siempre, mientras que los de su competidora estatal acusaban habituales demoras y cancelaciones por meteorolog\u00eda. Es dif\u00edcil demostrarlo, pero siempre volvemos a que los privados eran m\u00e1s puntuales. Trasladar el tema a una cuesti\u00f3n de seguridad es una tentaci\u00f3n grande, pero caer\u00edamos en cosas que no se pueden probar (ver <strong><a title=\"Texto de Pablo Luciano Potenze\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/?p=4391\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Una historia maldita<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>Lo que s\u00ed es cierto es que en los a\u00f1os sesenta las operaciones marginales estaban a la orden del d\u00eda, y las ayudas a la navegaci\u00f3n eran pocas y malas. Vaya como ejemplo el dato objetivo de que cuando en 1962 los reactores empezaron a hacer vuelos dom\u00e9sticos en la Argentina hab\u00eda solamente dos VOR, uno en Ezeiza y el otro en Malarg\u00fce. El resto de los vuelos se hac\u00edan con NDB, ADF y buena voluntad. Y eso val\u00eda para todos.<\/p>\n<p>El aviso que hoy nos ocupa, publicado en <i>Primera Plana<\/i> el 6 de octubre de 1970, es uno de los tantos que publicaron ALA y Austral en esos a\u00f1os en los que no se dice nada pero se sugiere todo en materia de cumplimiento de horarios. Esta vez el argumento es la famosa marca Rolls Royce, y hay que reconocer que la imagen es un poco shocking, pero eran los tiempos del Sargent Pepper.<\/p>\n<p>Lo divertido es que en ese momento los Caravelle y los Avro 748, que usaba Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas en sus servicios dom\u00e9sticos, tambi\u00e9n ten\u00edan motores Rolls Royce.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Por qu\u00e9 motivo, en el entorno de los a\u00f1os setenta, un pasajero pod\u00eda elegir volar en una empresa u otra si los precios eran iguales.
