Seip, comandante de la 12a Fuerza A\u00e9rea (12th Air Force o 12th AF), quien supervisa el accionar de 600 aviones de combate y casi 52.000 funcionarios (activos, de reserva y guardias nacionales) que operan desde bases en varios estados del centro-oeste norteamericano y proyectan intereses norteamericanos hacia toda Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe ya que tambi\u00e9n conforman el componente a\u00e9reo del Comando Sur de esa naci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Norman \u00abNorm\u00bb Seip<\/strong> inici\u00f3 su carrera en la USAF tras graduarse de la academia de la fuerza a\u00e9rea de Colorado Springs (USAF Academy o USAFA) en 1974.<\/p>\n<p>Tras completar su formaci\u00f3n como piloto de combate y ocupar posiciones subalternas, comand\u00f3 el 334th Fighter Squadron \u00abFighting Eagles\u00bb (334o. Escuadr\u00f3n de Caza \u00ab\u00c1guilas combativas\u00bb), con asiento Seymour Johnson AFB (North Carolina), el 48th Operations Group (48o. Grupo Operaciones), de RAF Lakenheath (Gran Breta\u00f1a) y la 4th Fighter Wing \u00abFourth but First\u00bb (4a.
