Escuadr\u00f3n de Caza), uno de los siete escuadrones que integran la 56th Fighter Wing (56th FW, 56a. Ala de Caza), con asiento en la base a\u00e9rea Luke (Phoenix, Arizona), cuya\u00a0misi\u00f3n es la adaptaci\u00f3n de pilotos de la aeron\u00e1utica militar norteamericana al est\u00e1ndar F-35A, actividad que estos comparten con sus colegas noruegos e italianos.<\/p>\n<p>Identificadas con las matr\u00edculas militares <strong>13-5078<\/strong> (c\/n AF-84, primer vuelo en 12\/2015) y <strong>14-5107<\/strong> (c\/n AF-108, primer vuelo en 03\/2016),\u00a0las aeronaves llegaron a Santiago a cargo de la <strong>F-35 Heritage Flight<\/strong> (F-35 HFT, Escuadrilla Patrimonial F-35A), unidad de demostraci\u00f3n institucional que muchas veces se presenta en vuelo acompa\u00f1ada de aeronaves de combate hist\u00f3ricas de coleccionistas privados (F-38 Lightning, F-51 Mustang, F-86 Sabre o F-4 Phantom II) o contempor\u00e1neas de la propia USAF (F-16 Fighting Falcon o F-22 Raptor).<\/p>\n<p>Si bien no fue este el caso ya que ambas aeronaves llegaron s\u00f3lo para exponerse est\u00e1ticamente, la delegaci\u00f3n fue de todos modos liderada por el jefe de escuadrilla, capit\u00e1n <strong>Andrew \u00abDojo\u00bb Olson<\/strong>, piloto de combate con m\u00e1s de 1.500 horas de vuelo, de las cuales 480 corresponden a 61 misiones de combate sobre\u00a0Irak, Siria, y Afganist\u00e1n en las que lanz\u00f3 69 \u00abbombas inteligentes\u00bb contra blancos del Estado Isl\u00e1mico durante la operaci\u00f3n \u00abInherent Resolve\u00bb (Resoluci\u00f3n Inherente) entre octubre de 2014 y abril de 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Lo acompa\u00f1aban el superintendente de vuelo de la escuadrilla,\u00a0sargento maestro <strong>Francis \u00abFrank\u00bb Matanane<\/strong>, y otros 11 suboficiales especialistas aeron\u00e1uticos de la unidad, los sargentos <strong>Robert Garner<\/strong>, <strong>Martin Carey<\/strong>, <strong>Patrick Murphy<\/strong>, <strong>Hilario Alaniz<\/strong>, <strong>John Baker<\/strong>, <strong>Michael Couture<\/strong>, <strong>Nguyen-San Le<\/strong>, <strong>Zachary Madera<\/strong> e <strong>Ivan Sumter<\/strong> y los cabos <strong>Jordan Wyman<\/strong> y <strong>James Mercer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<div class=\"tiled-gallery type-rectangular tiled-gallery-unresized\" data-original-width=\"1140\" data-carousel-extra='{&quot;blog_id&quot;:1,&quot;permalink&quot;:&quot;https:\\\/\\\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\\\/gaceta\\\/wp-101\\\/pictorial-fidae-2018-el-debut-del-f-35a-lightning-ii\\\/&quot;,&quot;likes_blog_id&quot;:26943182}' itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/ImageGallery\" > <div class=\"gallery-row\" style=\"width: 1140px;
