height: 263px;\" \/> <\/a> <div class=\"tiled-gallery-caption\" itemprop=\"caption description\"> El Airbus A320-200 PR-MBA rodando hacia la Terminal 2 de Salgado Filho (foto: Carlos Ay, SBPA 10\/04\/2018). <\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <!-- close group --> <\/div> <!-- close row --> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>El muy mentado advenimiento de las \u00abaerol\u00edneas low cost\u00bb propone un potente cambio de paradigmas en el que las transportadoras convencionales parecen enredarse cada d\u00eda m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p>A principios del mes de abril de 2018 tuve oportunidad de realizar un viaje ida y vuelta en <strong>LATAM Airlines<\/strong> entre SCEL\/Santiago de Chile y SBPA\/Porto Alegre (Brasil), con escala intermedia en SBGR\/Guarulhos (Brasil), en el que me tocaron varios tramos en servicios configurados bajo aquella modalidad y, sin pretender sacar conclusiones estad\u00edsticamente representativas, me pareci\u00f3 interesante compartir con nuestros lectores las impresiones recogidas en esos cuatro tramos.<\/p>\n<p>Mi primer contacto efectivo con la aerol\u00ednea tuvo lugar reci\u00e9n un par de d\u00edas antes de abordar el primero de los cuatro tramos para el <strong>check-in web<\/strong> y la experiencia no fue del todo grata ya que su sitio web me requiri\u00f3 completar todos mis datos personales como si fuera un cliente completamente nuevo (cuando\u00a0llevo 18 a\u00f1os suscrito a su programa de viajero frecuente y he volado en esa compa\u00f1\u00eda el 54% de las 602 \u00abhoras pax\u00bb que acumul\u00e9 desde 1986)\u00a0y, por alg\u00fan error inform\u00e1tico que escapa a mi comprensi\u00f3n, me deriv\u00f3 al call center de la empresa para re-confirmar mi reserva y, entonces s\u00ed, habilitar el check-in web.<\/p>\n<p>El problema se repiti\u00f3 en el \u00faltimo tramo de mi itinerario; pero esta vez se hizo m\u00e1s enervante: No hubo forma de concretar el check-in en el sitio web de la empresa en los dos d\u00edas previos a presentarme en Guarulhos, tampoco lo pude hacer en los kioskos autoservicio de la terminal 3 y esto me oblig\u00f3 a hacer una cola de al menos 45 minutos de duraci\u00f3n para concretar el tr\u00e1mite y despachar una valija rumbo a Chile&#8230; height: 251px;\" \/> <\/a> <div class=\"tiled-gallery-caption\" itemprop=\"caption description\"> Con un sugestivo apodo, el ATR 72-600 PR-PKF de Azul Linhas A\u00e9reas despega rumbo a Santa Mar\u00eda en vuelo AD2429 (foto: Carlos Ay, SBPA, 10\/04\/2018). <\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <!-- close group --> <\/div> <!-- close row --> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Gracias a esto, en ese tramo pude disfrutar de un servicio de abordo \u00abcl\u00e1sico\u00bb (desayuno completo con repetici\u00f3n de bebidas) y de uno los cada vez menos frecuentes sistemas de entretenimiento de pantallas\u00a0individuales en las que, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la lentitud para responder a los comandos t\u00e1ctiles, se pod\u00eda acceder a una oferta de contenidos algo m\u00e1s amplia que la del propio LATAM Entertainment (afines con mis predilecciones musicales, por ejemplo, encontr\u00e9 discos completos de Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Erasure, Deep Purple, Paul Simon, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Otro de los contrastes que se me hizo evidente en este itinerario \u00abmixto\u00bb (cl\u00e1sico y low-cost) es la limitaci\u00f3n a cambiar de asientos una vez embarcado en un vuelo low-cost: Una vez ubicado en la cabina de pasajeros en el JJ4510, mi petici\u00f3n de cambiarme a la salida de emergencia fue respetuosamente rechazada por un auxiliar de abordo que apel\u00f3 a restricciones derivadas de la comercializaci\u00f3n que esta y otras empresas hacen de \u00abasientos preferentes\u00bb como las filas 01 y 14 de sus A320.<\/p>\n<p>En comparaci\u00f3n, en el check-in del cuarto tramo ped\u00ed y consegu\u00ed sin mayor problema ubicaci\u00f3n en la ventanilla derecha de la fila 24 y con dos asientos libres a mi izquierda, esto \u00faltimo (sospecho) cortes\u00eda del despachante de pasajeros que se apiad\u00f3 de m\u00ed e intent\u00f3 compensar mi \u00abcara larga\u00bb despu\u00e9s de 45 minutos esperando en la fila de check-in.<\/p>\n<p>El resto del itinerario fue absolutamente rutinario y carente de novedades que afectaran de manera relevante lo que las aerol\u00edneas gustan definir con el pomposo t\u00edtulo de <strong>\u00abexperiencia del pasajero\u00bb<\/strong>;
