Las noticias sobre las pioneras Loftlei\u00f0ir y Laker no hab\u00edan llegado a estas tierras.<\/p>\n<p>En esos a\u00f1os Austral L\u00edneas A\u00e9reas estaba librando una batalla frontal para imponerse en el mercado por la calidad de sus servicios, al mismo tiempo que desarrollaba una pol\u00edtica de turismo barato a trav\u00e9s de Sol Jet, una empresa controlada que organizaba lo que hoy llamar\u00edamos charters, utilizando los aviones de la empresa.<\/p>\n<p>La historia nos dice que la empresa privada perdi\u00f3 su contienda con Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas, fundamentalmente por razones pol\u00edticas, pero esa d\u00e9cada, vista en perspectiva, fue una de las m\u00e1s interesantes de la historia del marketing aerocomercial argentino.<\/p>\n<p>Dentro de este marco debe analizarse una campa\u00f1a, lanzada por Austral en mayo de ese a\u00f1o, en la que se busc\u00f3 demostrar que el avi\u00f3n era m\u00e1s barato que el auto particular. En tramos breves, como C\u00f3rdoba, los beneficios no eran tan grandes. Lo interesante, seg\u00fan los n\u00fameros de Austral, es que hasta en el caso de un viaje realizado por tres pasajeros hab\u00eda un beneficio a favor del medio a\u00e9reo.<\/p>\n<p>La base del c\u00e1lculo eran los consumos de combustible publicados por el diario <i>La Prensa<\/i>, y no se inclu\u00edan gastos fijos del autom\u00f3vil.
