Organizativamente depende de la Direcci\u00f3n Adjunta Operativa y de la Divisi\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica y T\u00e9cnica. Su principal tarea es la de brindar apoyo en labores operativas policiales en actividades tanto de prevenci\u00f3n como de investigaci\u00f3n, vigilancias y seguimientos, protecci\u00f3n y organizaci\u00f3n de objetivos, transporte urgente de unidades y equipos especiales, en misiones de seguridad, ayuda y auxilio a los ciudadanos.<\/p>\n<p>En 1975 se estableci\u00f3 en el aer\u00f3dromo de Cuatro Vientos la primera base de lo que hoy conocemos como SMA. EL Servicio desde all\u00ed fue creciendo hasta cubrir con sus capacidades todo el pa\u00eds. Por otra parte, desde las bases andaluzas se brinda servicio a las ciudades aut\u00f3nomas de Ceuta y Melilla.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s la actual estructura del SMA es de un a flexibilidad tal que muy r\u00e1pidamente puede reforzar y dar cobertura a cualquier parte del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, el Servicio cuenta con una plantilla total de unas 145 personas, que incluye 60 pilotos de helic\u00f3ptero, y seis de aviones de ala fija, 57 ingenieros y t\u00e9cnicos de mantenimiento. Todo este equipo humano ha permitido al SMA alcanzar hasta ahora unas 140.000 horas de vuelo.<\/p>\n<h2>Las m\u00e1quinas: Helic\u00f3pteros<\/h2>\n<p>El moderno Airbus Helicopters H135P2 es el principal medio a\u00e9reo con que cuenta el SMA, que durante a\u00f1os ha operado el MBB B\u00f6-105. La capacidad de este helic\u00f3ptero de operar sobre \u00e1reas urbanas est\u00e1 limitada por la legislaci\u00f3n, por tanto se emplea como aeronave de instrucci\u00f3n, y de vigilancia en zonas rurales o costeras.<\/p>\n<h2>Las m\u00e1quinas: Aviones<\/h2>\n<p>La principal aeronave de ala fija del Servicio es el Cessna 550 Citation II EC-IAX, incorporado en 2009. A \u00e9sta la acompa\u00f1a el Beechcraft B-200 Super King Air EC-GBB. Ambas m\u00e1quinas llegaron al SMA como resultado de intervenciones judiciales por il\u00edcitos.<\/p>\n<p>B\u00e1sicamente los aviones se emplean para el traslado de personal y medios den CNP, y tambi\u00e9n para el transporte de criminales extraditados requeridos por la justicia espa\u00f1ola.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfDrones?<\/h2>\n<p>Actualmente, el SMA colabora junto con la Jefatura de Sistemas Especiales, en el estudio y desarrollo del uso operativo de Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS). N\u00f3tese el dispositivo de flotacion de emergencia (foto: Christian Amado).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Formaci\u00f3n del personal<\/h2>\n<p>El SMA desarroll\u00f3 su propio plan de entrenamiento, que fue certificado oficialmente en 1989 y que funciona tambi\u00e9n en la base principal de Cuatro Vientos. All\u00ed se imparten los cursos de formaci\u00f3n de pilotos y t\u00e9cnicos de mantenimiento.<\/p>\n<p>Los aspirantes a recibir la formaci\u00f3n han de ser previamente miembros del Cuerpo Nacional de Polic\u00eda (CNP). El curso te\u00f3rico consta de 1.100 horas, a lo que hay que a\u00f1adirle unas 50 en el simulador FNTP-II del H135 y otras 120 horas de vuelo real en los H120.<\/p>\n<p>La siguiente fase de instrucci\u00f3n implica las pr\u00e1cticas de vuelo policial, que incluye 180 horas a bordo de los H120 y H135. Cabe destacar que para ser el piloto comandante de aeronave es necesario reunir un m\u00ednimo de 500 horas como copiloto, antes poder realizar el necesario curso de aptitud.<\/p>\n<p>Los pilotos, adem\u00e1s pueden realizar los cursos adicionales de instructor de vuelo, de pruebas o de operaci\u00f3n de gr\u00faa de rescate y eslinga de carga (este tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 dirigido a t\u00e9cnicos de mantenimiento).<\/p>\n<p>A lo largo del a\u00f1o, se suceden diversas actividades de entrenamiento, en las cuales se repasan maniobras y procedimientos de emergencia, trabajo con gr\u00faa y cargas externas, simulaci\u00f3n de rescate y operaci\u00f3n en edificios altos o vuelo en monta\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>En cuanto al personal t\u00e9cnico, tambi\u00e9n se forma en la instituci\u00f3n. El curso consta de 2.000 horas lectivas y est\u00e1 dirigido a polic\u00edas de las escalas B\u00e1sica y de Subinspecci\u00f3n. El personal es relevado cada tres semanas y el helic\u00f3pteros B\u00f6-105 all\u00ed desplegado, una vez al a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Desde Dakar se realizan diversas misiones de control de la inmigraci\u00f3n ilegal. Las operaciones del Servicio se coordinan con las autoridades locales y se une a la tripulaci\u00f3n policial un oficial de la Fuerza A\u00e9rea Senegalesa. El trabajo policial a su vez se coordina con los medios del Servicio Mar\u00edtimo de la Guardia Civil, que operan desde el puerto de la citada ciudad africana.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_29465\"
