Si los diarios empiezan a publicar chistes sobre el tema, es grav\u00edsimo. Al d\u00eda siguiente el presidente de la Comisi\u00f3n de Transportes de la C\u00e1mara de Diputados, el justicialista D\u00e1maso Larraburu, sostuvo estar \u201cparcialmente conforme\u201d con el informe de Riva.<\/p>\n<p>Los incidentes t\u00e9cnicos continuaron y, a fines de mayo de 1992, los talleres de Austral fueron inspeccionados por la FAA (recordemos que los MD-80 de la empresa ten\u00edan matr\u00edcula norteamericana y por lo tanto deb\u00edan ser mantenidos de acuerdo con las normas de aquel pa\u00eds), y como consecuencia de esto algunos aviones estuvieron fuera de servicio unos d\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>Los recurrentes problemas t\u00e9cnicos en las m\u00e1quinas dieron lugar a nuevos pedidos de informes del Congreso al Poder Ejecutivo sobre el tema, y a mediados de octubre el director nacional de Aeronavegabilidad, comodoro Juan Manuel Baigorria, calific\u00f3 a los aviones de Aerol\u00edneas como \u201ccachivaches seguros\u201d ante la Comisi\u00f3n de Transportes de la C\u00e1mara de Diputados, aunque agregando que se hab\u00edan exigido a la empresa \u201cserias medidas tendientes a garantizar la seguridad\u201d, que se estaban cumpliendo.<\/p>\n<p>La compa\u00f1\u00eda, por su parte, ment\u00eda descaradamente, porque dec\u00eda que las m\u00e1quinas volaban dieciocho horas diarias, un valor extremo, muy por sobre la media mundial, al tiempo que el cumplimiento de horarios se degradaba notablemente.<\/p>\n<p>El punto crucial del problema de la seguridad en Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas ocurri\u00f3 el viernes 20 de noviembre de 1992, justo un d\u00eda antes de cumplirse dos a\u00f1os de la firma del decreto de transferencia, cuando un Boeing 737 (LV-JNE) no despeg\u00f3 en San Luis y se incendi\u00f3. No hubo v\u00edctimas entre sus 110 ocupantes. El 25 de noviembre Riva culp\u00f3 al personal por lo que estaba ocurriendo, y sostuvo claramente que la empresa estaba siendo \u201catacada\u201d, y Cavallo se hizo eco diciendo que \u201clos que dicen que hay d\u00e9ficit de mantenimiento quieren que Aerol\u00edneas desparezca y pretenden ridiculizar el proceso de privatizaciones\u201d, pero al mismo tiempo el secretario de transportes Soria admiti\u00f3 en el Congreso la posibilidad de aplicarle sanciones a la Empresa.<\/p>\n<p>El 26 de noviembre Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas sac\u00f3 de servicio seis aviones de la flota de cabotaje para someterlos a revisi\u00f3n, con lo que el problema de las demoras y cancelaciones empeor\u00f3. Seg\u00fan la Empresa se trataba de una situaci\u00f3n normal porque para esa \u00e9poca del a\u00f1o se hac\u00edan revisiones de fondo de frente a la temporada estival, pero obviamente nadie le crey\u00f3. La reprogramaci\u00f3n de los vuelos hizo que en los diarios de esos d\u00edas se publicaran, como novedades, los horarios.<\/p>\n<p>En diciembre, adem\u00e1s, comenz\u00f3 un duro conflicto gremial que empeor\u00f3 las cosas frente a la temporada de verano. 1993 fue un a\u00f1o con muchos sobresaltos y sin inversiones y la situaci\u00f3n empez\u00f3 a calmarse algo a principios de 1994, cuando el Decreto 52\/94 permiti\u00f3 que los espa\u00f1oles se hicieran cargo de la mayor\u00eda del capital.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cuando la opini\u00f3n p\u00fablica empieza a discutir la seguridad de una empresa, el problema es grave.
