Funcionaban, y hac\u00edan cosas que los aviones estaban lejos de lograr todav\u00eda, pero ten\u00edan terribles limitaciones y muchos accidentes. En nuestro pa\u00eds hab\u00edan volado dos que fueron desprogramados en 1928.<\/p>\n<p>El 27 de abril se public\u00f3 en los diarios porte\u00f1os la noticia de que se estaba estudiando la posibilidad de que el <i>Graf Zeppelin<\/i> viniera al pa\u00eds, y a principios de junio, se supo que el Ministerio de Guerra estaba estudiando, junto con un t\u00e9cnico venido de Alemania, el sitio adecuado para recibir a la m\u00e1quina.<\/p>\n<p>La operaci\u00f3n era compleja. El ideal era tener un m\u00e1stil de amarre, pero no se pod\u00eda construir de un d\u00eda para el otro, por lo que se opt\u00f3 que la m\u00e1quina, durante el transcurso de su breve escala, fuera sostenida por decenas de soldados que sostendr\u00edan cuerdas suspendidas del dirigible. En R\u00edo de Janeiro, se hac\u00eda lo mismo, ya que el \u00fanico m\u00e1stil permanente estaba en Pernambuco, que era la verdadera terminal del servicio.<\/p>\n<p>La primera empresa que se asoci\u00f3 promocionalmente al vuelo fue LS2 &#8211; Radio Prieto, una \u201cbroadcasting\u201d que por esos d\u00edas estaba inaugurando nuevos equipos transmisores y anunci\u00f3 \u201cretransmisiones\u201d de relatos hechos a bordo de la nave desde el 24 de junio. Pero con la llegada del dirigible a Buenos Aires la firma apost\u00f3 a dar un mensaje promocional que unir\u00eda dos elementos novedosos, la aviaci\u00f3n y la radiotelefon\u00eda. Desde el punto de vista t\u00e9cnico ya se hab\u00edan hecho cosas m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles: el 5 de marzo de 1934 Carlos Gardel hab\u00eda cantado estando en Nueva York, mientras sus guitarristas tocaban en Buenos Aires y el resultado era irradiado en tiempo real por Radio Splendid.
