Puppio).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Las leyes siempre dijeron (y dicen), que las tarifas las fija el Estado, pero estas leyes, m\u00e1s de una vez, no se han aplicado. Lo concreto es que las guerras de tarifas no son algo nuevo en la Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>1997 fue un a\u00f1o muy activo para la aeron\u00e1utica argentina. Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas se debat\u00eda ante las necesidades de la privatizaci\u00f3n de Iberia, y se encaminaba hacia la entrada de American Airlines en su capital y administraci\u00f3n. La privatizaci\u00f3n de los aeropuertos era el objetivo del gobierno, pero el Congreso no vot\u00f3 la ley y finalmente sali\u00f3 por decreto de necesidad y urgencia, El espacio a\u00e9reo ten\u00eda problemas serios (nunca del todo clarificados), que redundaban en demoras y, m\u00e1s grave, en frecuentes denuncias de casi colisiones de aeronaves. En otro plano, la Fuerza A\u00e9rea recib\u00eda a fin de a\u00f1o sus primeros A4-AR.<\/p>\n<p>Para matizar todo esto, tambi\u00e9n hubo una guerra de tarifas, la primera con varias bandas y cupos, y las empresas fomentaban la venta telef\u00f3nica pintando los n\u00fameros de reservas en los fuselajes de sus aviones. La ex empresa estatal, controlada entonces por el gobierno espa\u00f1ol, no se la tom\u00f3 originariamente en serio, y no dio ninguna respuesta. M\u00e1s a\u00fan, trat\u00f3 de plantear otro mercado en el que era el \u00fanico oferente, que fue el de la clase business en los vuelos dom\u00e9sticos (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/?p=1004\">https:\/\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/?p=1004<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Fue un error, porque LAPA, con un sistema de tarifa \u00fanica y barata, creci\u00f3 sin mayores inconvenientes, y la idea de competir con precios frente a una Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas anquilosada tambi\u00e9n entusiasm\u00f3 a Dinar, que empez\u00f3 sus vuelos regulares a fines de 1994, pero con un sistema de dos tarifas.<\/p>\n<p>En 1997 estas dos empresas ya ten\u00edan experiencia en el mercado argentino, que en ese momento ten\u00eda m\u00e1s oferta que nunca, y la generalizaci\u00f3n de la guerra fue inevitable. Dinar y Aerol\u00edneas\/Austral, adem\u00e1s, ten\u00edan una tarifa menor a\u00fan, si se compraba con veintinueve d\u00edas de anticipo.<\/p>\n<p>El prop\u00f3sito de estos cambios era ganar nuevos clientes, que estaban usando transportes terrestres. La competencia, que hasta entonces hab\u00eda estado centrada en la puntualidad y el servicio de a bordo, se traslad\u00f3 a los precios. A veces fueron luchas despiadadas, otras veces casi imperceptibles, pero siempre hubo tensi\u00f3n en la materia. A los pasajeros les cost\u00f3 acostumbrarse a aceptar los aparentemente ins\u00f3litos requerimientos de las l\u00edneas a\u00e9reas para acceder a las menores tarifas, pero terminaron acept\u00e1ndolos.
