Asi lo requiere el mundo financiero moderno, y as\u00ed debe ser. La danza de cifras es impresionante y el volumen escapa al entendimiento del ciudadano de a pie.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien Boeing identific\u00f3 previamente US$ 5.6 mil millones (antes de impuestos ) en compensaci\u00f3n a los clientes operadores del MAX, m\u00e1s tarde agreg\u00f3 otros US$ 3.6 mil millones al costo del programa, pero los analistas financieros, consultores y otros ven en esas cifras solo la punta del iceberg.<\/p>\n<p>Para empezar, ya se conocen nuevos costos, como la obligatoria capacitaci\u00f3n en simulador, pero Boeing a\u00fan no los ha explicado p\u00fablicamente y en detalle. La capacitaci\u00f3n en simuladores probablemente agregar\u00e1 casi US$ 5 mil millones al costo de la inmovilizaci\u00f3n en tierra. La base del c\u00e1lculo la hacemos tomando a Southwest Airlines como punto de referencia para los 4.543 MAXs en cartera en el Q3 de 2019, m\u00e1s los 385 aviones entregados, todos los cuales fueron vendidos antes de la inmovilizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Las previsiones de distintos analistas financieros norteamericanos, a d\u00eda de hoy informan que los costos por compensaciones a clientes podr\u00edan crecer hasta los US$ 8 mil millones. Tambien la demora en la recertificaci\u00f3n de los aviones, y el cambio en la cadencia de producci\u00f3n, podr\u00edan generar otro cargo de US$ 3.6 mil millones a los costes del pufo.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s Boeing tendr\u00e1 que dar soporte financiero (<span style=\"display: inline !important; float: none; background-color: #ffffff; color: #333333; cursor: text; font-family: -apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-decoration: none; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;\">hasta cierto punto<\/span>) a su cadena de suministro, para que los proveedores puedan recuperar los niveles de producci\u00f3n del MAX de la manera m\u00e1s eficiente posible. La compa\u00f1\u00eda deber\u00eda negociar individualmente con cada proveedor las condiciones para retomar la producci\u00f3n, ya que hay muchos y variados casos. El descalabro generado por Boeing sobre su l\u00ednea de suministro ha dejado mal paradas a empresas d\u00e9bilmente posicionadas y a aquellas que tienen productos de origen \u00fanico. Esta es otra maniobra cortoplacista, ya que as\u00ed se evita reducir los dividendos para los accionistas, pero que lastrar\u00e1 a la compa\u00f1\u00eda a futuro.<\/p>\n<p>Para ello Boeing mantiene conversaciones con bancos con objeto de obtener un pr\u00e9stamo de uS$ 10.000 millones o m\u00e1s. El constructor aeron\u00e1utico estadounidense ya habr\u00eda asegurado al menos el 60% del monto deseado con los bancos Citigroup, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo y J.P.Morgan.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfY cu\u00e1nto da la suma?<\/h2>\n<p>Es dif\u00edcil saber cuanto ser\u00e1 el total que deber\u00e1 afrontar el programa 737MAX. Podr\u00edan pasar varios a\u00f1os antes de que se conozcan los costos totales de la debacle.<\/p>\n<p>A mediados de octubre de 2019, cuando Boeing todav\u00eda preve\u00eda un retorno MAX al servicio antes de fines del 2019, el an\u00e1lisis del Bank of America Merrill Lynch, pronostic\u00f3 que los costos para el 737 MAX totalizar\u00e1n unos US$ 17.2 mil millones durante el per\u00edodo 2019-2023. Todas las l\u00edneas de gerencias involucradas en el programas 737MAX se avocaron a obtener resultados lo m\u00e1s pronto posible, y a como diera lugar, ya que Airbus los madrug\u00f3 con el lanzamiento del A320neo. Cabe destacar que los europeos han seguido repitiendo la jugada con las variantes A321neoLR y A321neoXLR, a la saz\u00f3n reemplazante del B757 que Boeing decidi\u00f3 discontinuar, en otra errada decisi\u00f3n del management.<\/p>\n<p>El resultado de otra \u201c<i>historia de \u00e9xito\u201d<\/i> est\u00e1 a la vista: Casi 350 muertos, US$ 20 mil millones en gastos y una imagen de marca muy da\u00f1ada. Vaya uno a saber que contar\u00eda Dennis Muilenburg (el CEO despedido por Boeing) en una charla TEDx\u2026<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Esta no ser\u00e1 la primera vez, ni al \u00faltima, que una empresa se lleve un dur\u00edsimo golpe por la ineptitud de un gerenciamiento que se cree infalible y todopoderoso, y de unos ejecutivos obsecuentes con la direcci\u00f3n.
