Ay).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>En 1969 se establece la Directiva 1\/69 donde quedan fijadas las responsabilidades y funciones aeron\u00e1uticas de cada una de las Fuerzas Armadas, de esta manera la Aviaci\u00f3n de Ej\u00e9rcito se encontraba habilitada para operar aeronaves de ala fija de entrenamiento b\u00e1sico, enlace y transporte ligero, mientras que la Fuerza A\u00e9rea Argentina (FAA) ser\u00eda la responsable del transporte a\u00e9reo pesado, lo que oblig\u00f3 al Ej\u00e9rcito a depender de la disponibilidad de aeronaves de la FAA para ejecutar tareas de transporte de material de magnitud y aquellas relacionadas con las operaciones aerotransportadas, situaci\u00f3n que no estuvo libre de inconvenientes y roces. Lo que oblig\u00f3 al EA a buscar incorporar una aeronave de las caracter\u00edsticas del G.222, que era la de mayor porte permitida por la citada directiva, tratando de ampliar su independencia.<\/p>\n<p>El 24 de diciembre de 1974 la Argentina coloc\u00f3 una orden de compra por dos G.222 con opci\u00f3n a una tercero, convirti\u00e9ndose as\u00ed en el primer usuario extranjero del G.222. El 29 de marzo de 1977 fue entregado el primer ejemplar, matriculado AE-260 (C\/n 4010), el vuelo ferry hacia nuestro pa\u00eds parti\u00f3 de Tur\u00edn, Italia, e hizo escalas en Sevilla, Las Palmas, Espa\u00f1a, Isla de Sal, Cabo Verde, Recife y R\u00edo de Janeiro, Brasil. (Foto: Aeritalia). <\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <!-- close group --> <\/div> <!-- close row --> <\/div>\n<p>Entre las acciones m\u00e1s destacables durante sus primeros a\u00f1os puede citarse el apoyo a la poblaci\u00f3n civil durante las inundaciones de la provincia de Buenos Aires en 1980. Tambi\u00e9n es muy probable que alguno de ellos haya prestado servicio durante el desarrollo de la crisis lim\u00edtrofe con Chile en diciembre de 1978.<\/p>\n<p>Entre abril y junio de 1982 tuvo lugar el conflicto del Atl\u00e1ntico Sur y los G.222 de la Aviaci\u00f3n de Ej\u00e9rcito no fueron ajenos, ya que movilizados a la Patagonia operaron realizando distintas tareas log\u00edsticas dentro del Teatro de Operaciones del Atl\u00e1ntico Sur.<\/p>\n<p>El 29 de abril de 1982, el AE-260 efectu\u00f3 un cruce a Puerto Argentino con el objetivo de trasladar elementos de la Secci\u00f3n Intendencia para apoyar al personal propio desplegado en las islas con distintos helic\u00f3pteros. En la bodega de carga se llevaron 50 mantas, 50 cubiertos de campa\u00f1a y cuerpo sujetador, 131 gabanes de combate, 108 casquetes de abrigo, 137 forros de abrigo, 134 gabanes de abrigo, 200 camisetas-remeras, 106 antiparras, todo esto totaliz\u00f3 6 Toneladas de carga. En el mismo vuelo tambi\u00e9n se trasladaron al Cabo Gustini y a los soldados Vergalito, Baz\u00e1n, Ram\u00edrez y Soto quienes completaron la dotaci\u00f3n de soldados en las islas. La tripulaci\u00f3n responsable de este cruce estuvo compuesta por el\u00a0 Teniente Coronel Delsis \u00c1ngel Malacalza, el Teniente Primero Carlos Felipe Maissonave, el Teniente Mario Rivarola y los Sargentos Horacio Ru\u00edz y Julio Ram\u00f3n Vildoza. (Foto: Aeritalia) <\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <!-- close group --> <\/div> <!-- close row --> <\/div>\n<p>Operando principalmente en bases de despliegue en la Patagonia se realizaron cinco vuelos de evacuaci\u00f3n de heridos, 14 de transporte de carga y 16 de transporte de personal, totalizando durante toda la campa\u00f1a 227,50 hs. de vuelo.<\/p>\n<p>Con posterioridad al conflicto estos pasaron a operar dentro de la Secci\u00f3n Transporte A\u00e9reo Log\u00edstico del Escuadr\u00f3n de <em>Aviaci\u00f3n<\/em> de <em>Apoyo<\/em> General <em>603<\/em> (B Av A G <em>603<\/em>). Siendo el AE-261 bautizado \u201cLa Piadosa Caridad\u201d mientras que el AE-262 recibi\u00f3 el nombre \u201cLa Santa Fe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Entre el 27 de agosto y el 3 de septiembre de 2004 tuvo lugar en Jujuy y Salta el ejercicio interfuerzas \u201cJaguar\u201d, en el mismo intervino un G.222 junto a un CASA 212 que interactuaron con efectivos de la Fuerza de Despliegue R\u00e1pido (FDR).<\/p>\n<p>El 27 de marzo de 1996 uno de los Fiat G.222 que se encontraba pr\u00f3ximo a Puerto Deseado, Santa Cruz sufri\u00f3 una emergencia producida por la plantada de ambos motores, que oblig\u00f3 a que se efectuara un aterrizaje de emergencia en un camino de ripio distante 130 Kil\u00f3metros de la ciudad de Puerto Deseado, el mismo se produjo sin consecuencias para la aeronave, sus seis tripulantes y 47 pasajeros, entre los que se encontraba el, en ese entonces, Inspector General del Ej\u00e9rcito, General Juan Mugnolo. Tras efectuarse las tareas de mantenimiento respectivas la aeronave retorn\u00f3 a su base de asiento.<\/p>\n<p>Durante ese mismo mes se desarroll\u00f3 en Chubut, Santa Cruz y Tierra del Fuego el ejercicio \u201cPatoruz\u00fa\u201d junto a las otras Fuerzas Armadas, en algunas etapas del mismo el AE-260 oper\u00f3 desde el Aeropuerto de R\u00edo Gallegos, Santa Cruz, desde donde efectu\u00f3 el traslado de personal y el lanzamiento de efectivos pertenecientes a la FDR en cercan\u00edas de R\u00edo Grande, Tierra del Fuego. Brea) <\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <!-- close group --> <\/div> <!-- close row --> <\/div>\n<p>El 16 de junio de 2005 se traslad\u00f3 en un Fiat G.222, posiblemente el AE-260, al prototipo del Veh\u00edculo Liviano de Empleo General, Aerotransportable (VLEGA) Gaucho a R\u00edo de Janeiro, Brasil donde ser\u00eda sometido a la segunda etapa de su desarrollo.<\/p>\n<p>Por la tarde del 14 de marzo de 2006 un G.222 que se encontraba desplegado en C\u00f3rdoba realizando saltos en masa sobre La Mezquita, el Teniente Primero Roberto Cari qued\u00f3 trabado con una correa de su equipo en la puerta al tratar de abandonar la aeronave, cuando el Jefe de Salto, Suboficial Principal Claudio Cardozo, quien se desempe\u00f1aba como Jefe de Lanzamiento, intent\u00f3 tomarlo para volver a ingresarlo a la aeronave la correa le aprision\u00f3 la mano izquierda y sufri\u00f3 la amputaci\u00f3n de la falange de sus dedos \u00edndice y me\u00f1ique.<\/p>\n<p>Durante ese a\u00f1o el AE-260 tuvo una emergencia en vuelo que lo oblig\u00f3 a aterrizar en la Base A\u00e9rea de Campo Grande de la For\u00e7a A\u00e9rea Brasileira, permaneciendo all\u00ed por varios meses hasta que pudo retornar al pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Para el 23 de noviembre de 2007 este pudo ser observado siendo sometido a una inspecci\u00f3n mayor en las instalaciones del Batall\u00f3n de Abastecimiento y Mantenimiento de Aeronaves 601 (B Ab Mant Aeron 601). Brea). <\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <!-- close group --> <\/div> <!-- close row --> <\/div>\n<p>Lamentablemente los trabajos no pudieron concluirse y con el correr del tiempo el AE-260 fue trasladado frente a las instalaciones del B Ab Mant Aeron 601 junto a los restantes G.222 donde todav\u00eda permanecen a la espera de su destino.<\/p>\n<p>En el a\u00f1o 2011 se iniciaron las tratativas para una operaci\u00f3n de canje llevada a cabo con la Rep\u00fablica Italiana por veinte helic\u00f3pteros Agusta Bell AB-206B1 del Arma dei Carabinieri a cambio de los tres Fiat G.222.
