Sin duda muchas. A m\u00ed me lo dijeron por primera vez cuando era muy ni\u00f1o, y no me preocup\u00e9 porque faltaba mucho y ten\u00eda toda la vida por delante, pero a medida que la fecha se acercaba m\u00e1s de uno se inquiet\u00f3, aunque no hab\u00eda ning\u00fan signo en el cielo que hiciera pensar que llegar\u00eda el fin.  <\/p>\n<p>Pero unos a\u00f1os antes del momento indicado, apareci\u00f3 un signo en la tierra. Parec\u00eda un signo tonto para cualquier persona medianamente sagaz, pero los especialistas en inform\u00e1tica, que en ese entonces ten\u00edan bastante de sacerdotes de una nueva religi\u00f3n, descubrieron que la sucesi\u00f3n de los n\u00fameros naturales, una de las bases de nuestra civilizaci\u00f3n, se estaba tambaleando.  <\/p>\n<p>El asunto es que las computadoras, que hab\u00edan sido desarrolladas desde mediados del siglo XX, utilizaban para escribir las fechas una notaci\u00f3n en la que el n\u00famero del a\u00f1o se escrib\u00eda con dos d\u00edgitos, as\u00ed 1990 era 90, y 1999 era 99. \u00bfpero qu\u00e9 n\u00famero ven\u00eda despu\u00e9s de 99? Imposible saberlo, la gente normal cre\u00eda que despu\u00e9s de 1999 ven\u00eda 2000, y por ello despu\u00e9s de 99 deber\u00eda venir 00, pero en el cibermundo nadie estaba seguro de que esto fuera as\u00ed, y como a esta altura de la historia el mundo ya funcionaba a partir de lo que decid\u00edan las computadoras, la inquietud fue grande.  <\/p>\n<p>Se habl\u00f3 de graves cataclismos, de un mundo que no funcionar\u00eda y otras cosas por el estilo. Lo concreto fue que cada pa\u00eds y cada empresa gastaron fortunas en revisar y modificar sus sistemas inform\u00e1ticos para estar seguros de que funcionar\u00edan en la oportunidad.  <\/p>\n<p>Cuando estos trabajos estuvieron terminados todos estuvieron seguros de que estaban seguros, y comenzaron a bombardear a los pasajeros (los eternos convidados de piedra) con mensajes diciendo que no pasaba nada.  <\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/y2k-2.jpg?w=1140\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">El aviso publicado en <em>Clar\u00edn<\/em> por Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas \u2013 Austral el 30 de diciembre de 1999. La primera fue la OACI, que recomend\u00f3 separar los vuelos esa noche, y en la Argentina el Comando de Regiones A\u00e9reas suspendi\u00f3 la actividad en el entorno de la medianoche. Las empresas locales, por su parte, decidieron mantener en tierra todas sus aeronaves desde alrededor de las 20:00 hasta el amanecer siguiente (quiz\u00e1s ten\u00edan miedo de que no saliera el sol), y lo m\u00e1s contundente, la demanda de pasajes para esos dos d\u00edas cay\u00f3 de modo espectacular.  <\/p>\n<p>Esa noche, por una vez en la historia, el personal aeron\u00e1utico pudo pasar el a\u00f1o nuevo con su familia. El fin del mundo no lleg\u00f3, y el fen\u00f3meno Y2K qued\u00f3 en el recuerdo.  <\/p>\n<p>Los dos avisos que mostramos hoy son dos versiones de lo mismo.
