En su momento la empresa la mostr\u00f3 como un s\u00edmbolo de superioridad.<\/p>\n<p>Boeing supo crear un cliente fiel con Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas, que compr\u00f3 muchos aviones que demostraron ser confiables y tuvieron un servicio de postventa de primera categor\u00eda, cosas que una empresa siempre valora. Adem\u00e1s, y esto es fundamental, Boeing dio a la empresa argentina una filosof\u00eda de operaci\u00f3n que acab\u00f3 con las chapucer\u00edas que arrastraba desde su fundaci\u00f3n y termin\u00f3 con una era de accidentes fatales que por momentos fue inquietante (ver <a title=\"Texto de Pablo Luciano Potenze\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/?p=4391\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UNA HISTORIA MALDITA<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h2>Pormenores de una flota<\/h2>\n<p>La contracara de esta relaci\u00f3n comercial fue que Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas no siempre compr\u00f3 los aviones que necesitaba, o compr\u00f3 m\u00e1s de lo que realmente necesitaba. Los 737 no se adaptaron nunca a todas sus rutas debi\u00e9ndose levantar varias de ellas, los 727 eran operativamente caros para el momento en que llegaron y era dif\u00edcil lograr buenos coeficientes de ocupaci\u00f3n con un avi\u00f3n de ese tama\u00f1o y los Jumbo funcionaron razonablemente en las rutas europeas, pero no se adaptaron al cambiante ambiente de los vuelos a Estados Unidos, donde era necesaria una elasticidad que exig\u00eda aviones m\u00e1s chicos para ofrecer m\u00e1s frecuencias en diversos horarios y destinos. Simplemente quer\u00edan viajar, y poco les importaba el tama\u00f1o del avi\u00f3n. Como siempre, se fijaban en el horario, la puntualidad y el servicio en general, y Aerol\u00edneas, con su flota r\u00edgida, estaba en desventaja.<\/p>\n<p>La compra de estos aviones fue producto de la pol\u00edtica econ\u00f3mica que tuvo el pa\u00eds durante el gobierno militar, que facilit\u00f3 el endeudamiento de las empresas p\u00fablicas con la famosa \u201cplata dulce\u201d. Siempre nos quedar\u00e1 la duda sobre si el abandono de las escalas internas, que se dio en coincidencia con la llegada de los 737, fue una decisi\u00f3n correcta. Las empresas europeas se inclinaron por el DC-10\/30, las norteamericanas por diversos aviones m\u00e1s chicos, que incluyeron hasta el Boeing 747SP y las latinoamericanas siguieron la tendencia. Esto dio a la empresa argentina un nuevo argumento, asociado al sempiterno miedo a volar de los pasajeros. La publicidad remarc\u00f3 que el Boeing 747\/200 era el verdadero Jumbo, y que cuatro era m\u00e1s que tres y, por lo tanto, un cuatrimotor era m\u00e1s seguro que un trimotor.<\/p>\n<figure
