La ciudad de Beer Sheva es un oasis en medio de la aridez y el paisaje circundante es sin dudas llamativo.<\/p>\n<p>Los visitantes seg\u00fan se aproximan al museo a menudo pueden ver u oir el rugido de los jets militares o los turboh\u00e9lices de entrenamiento que salen o regresan a la base. La variedad de aeronaves habitual por la zona incluye F-15I <em>Ra\u2019am<\/em>, F-16I <em>Sufa<\/em>, T-6A y helic\u00f3pteros UH-60 <em>Yanshuf<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>La mayor parte de la exposici\u00f3n del museo transcurre al aire libre y bajo un sol de justicia, aun en el mes de septiembre cuando lo visitamos. Tambi\u00e9n hay algunos edificios dedicados a albergar archivos y antiguos equipos de la fuerza a\u00e9rea israel\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Debido al hecho de que el museo se encuentra principalmente al aire libre, y en el desierto, se ofrece gratuitamente agua fr\u00eda en bebederos instalados estrat\u00e9gicamente en numerosos puntos del museo. Tanto que no vimos otros visitantes durante el tiempo que permanecimos en las instalaciones. Cerca de la entrada hay una tienda de regalos y un peque\u00f1o caf\u00e9, pero estaban cerrados. Detr\u00e1s de la tienda hay Boeing 707 convertido en cine donde se muestra un cortometraje de la historia y la importancia de la IAF como una parte de la Fuerza de Defensa de Israel. El documental es en hebreo, con subt\u00edtulos, y dura aproximadamente 10 minutos.<\/p>\n<p>Luego un Kfir y toda su panoplia de armamento nos dan la bienvenida y comienza lo m\u00e1s interesante. A la izquierda, hay un peque\u00f1o edificio que analiza la historia de la IAF y se\u00f1ala las diversas misiones y operaciones que hacen de la fuerza una leyenda en s\u00ed misma: operaciones como la de Entebbe en 1976 y los ataques a\u00e9reos en T\u00fanez en 1985 y la instalaci\u00f3n nuclear de Irak en 1981. Adem\u00e1s, los todos los jefes de estado mayor de la Heyl Ha\u2019Avir, desde su creaci\u00f3n a la actualidad, est\u00e1n todos retratados en una de las paredes de la sala, con fechas, fotos y curiosidades. Hay maquetas y diversos elementos hist\u00f3ricos preservados, como uniformes, que cubren buena parte de la historia de la IAF.<\/p>\n<p>Si el calor exterior es muy intenso, podemos refugiarnos en este edificio con aire acondicionado, ver la exposici\u00f3n a la vez que recuperamos el aliento y luego continuar por el exterior.<\/p>\n<h2>Exposici\u00f3n exterior<\/h2>\n<p>En el exterior, se pueden ver multitud de aviones, m\u00e1s de 150, algunos est\u00e1n abiertos para conocer su interior y fotografiarse en ellos.<\/p>\n<p>Junto al edificio del museo, a la derecha seg\u00fan entramos a la zona de exposici\u00f3n a cielo abierto, veremos los aviones capturados de pa\u00edses vecinos como Siria, Egipto y Jordania. No est\u00e1 permitido el acceso a este \u00e1rea, pero se puede ver y fotografiar desde la parte superior de unas gradas que hay al norte del \u00e1rea de exposici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>En una zona arbolada al este del museo y detr\u00e1s el PBY Catalina unos corrales albergan varios animales de granja a modo de petit zool\u00f3gico.<\/p>\n<h2>C\u00f3mo llegar y acceder al museo<\/h2>\n<p>Finalmente queda por decir que aunque el museo est\u00e9 literalmente en medio de la nada, y Beer Sheva no sea una ciudad especialmente tur\u00edstica, \u00e9sta es sin duda una visita altamente recomendable y que es posible combinar con otras actividades tur\u00edsticas en Israel.<\/p>\n<p>El museo es accesible en transporte p\u00fablico, mediante el autob\u00fas 40 que conecta al museo con el centro de Beer Sheva.
