La actual disponibilidad de aeronaves m\u00e1s modernas y eficientes, torna un sinsentido continuar volando el cl\u00e1sico cuatrimotor de Boeing.<\/p>\n<p>Asi pues, <strong>Wamos Air<\/strong> retir\u00f3 definitivamente de su flota el \u00faltimo Boeing 747 de transporte de pasajeros que a\u00fan estaba matriculado en Espa\u00f1a. El Jumbo es tambi\u00e9n conocido como \u201c<em>Queen of the Skies<\/em>\u201d por ser durante mucho tiempo la aeronave m\u00e1s grande y habitual para los vuelos de largo recorrido.<\/p>\n<p>De esta manera, el pasado 26 de marzo de 2021, el <strong>EC-KXN<\/strong> de Wamos Air parti\u00f3 con rumbo al Aeropuerto Internacional de Man\u00e1s, el principal aeropuerto internacional de Kirguist\u00e1n, situado a 25 km de la capital Biskek. All\u00ed arrib\u00f3 tras siete horas y media de vuelo para que tome posesi\u00f3n de la nave su nuevo due\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<h2>El Boeing 747-4H6 s\/n 25703<\/h2>\n<p>El \u00faltimo 747 espa\u00f1ol vio la luz en marzo de 1994, cuando realiz\u00f3 su primer vuelo. Comenz\u00f3 su vida operativa con Malaysian Airlines, donde sirvi\u00f3 hasta 2006. Al a\u00f1o siguiente fue alquilado a Air India. En la imagen, visto en Buenos AIres cuando cubria la ruta que conectaba Argentina, Sud\u00e1frica y Malasia (foto: Christian Amado).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Esta m\u00e1quina, y bajo el registro EC-KXN, lleg\u00f3 a lucir sucesivamente los colores de Pullmantur, luego Wamos Air, m\u00e1s tarde los de la venezolana Conviasa, para terminar nuevamente con Wamos Air.<\/p>\n<p>El primer Boeing 747-300 de la compa\u00f1\u00eda oper\u00f3 su primer vuelo a Canc\u00fan el 1 de junio de 2003, marcando el inicio de su era. Las operaciones empezaron con vuelos ch\u00e1rter a Punta Cana y a Canc\u00fan con el Boeing 747 EC-IOO subarrendado a ILFC via Air Atlanta Icelandic.<\/p>\n<p>Durante la temporada veraniega Pullmantur Air tambi\u00e9n ofrec\u00eda el vuelo desde Madrid hasta los puertos de salida de los cruceros Pullmantur, todo ello dentro de un mismo paquete tur\u00edstico.<\/p>\n<p>En el a\u00f1o 2006 la aerol\u00ednea fue vendida, junto al resto de las empresa del turoperador Pullmantur, a la naviera norteamericana <strong>Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_40825\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-40825\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-attachment-id=\"40825\" data-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/la-ultima-reina-espanola-wamos-retiro-su-ultimo-747\/wamos1\/\" data-orig-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/wamos1.jpg?fit=800%2C533&amp;ssl=1\" data-orig-size=\"800,533\" data-comments-opened=\"1\" data-image-title=\"\" data-image-description=\"\" data-image-caption=\"&lt;p&gt;Parte de la flota de Wamos Air en la T1 de Madrid-Barajas (foto: Fernando Puppio).&lt;\/p&gt;\n\" data-large-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/wamos1.jpg?fit=800%2C533&amp;ssl=1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-40825\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/wamos1.jpg?resize=800%2C533&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/wamos1.jpg?w=800&amp;ssl=1 800w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/wamos1.jpg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/wamos1.jpg?resize=768%2C512&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-40825\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Parte de la flota de Wamos Air en la T1 de Madrid-Barajas (foto: Fernando Puppio).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A comienzos de 2011 el modelo de negocio cambi\u00f3 ligeramente, ya que comenz\u00f3 la comercializaci\u00f3n de tambi\u00e9n vuelos regulares, que con frecuencia semanal cubr\u00edan las rutas Madrid-Canc\u00fan y Madrid-Punta Cana.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente el 19 de diciembre de 2014, los nuevos propietarios cambiaron su nombre original por el de Wamos Air, parte del Wamos Group.<\/p>\n<p>Durante la crisis sanitaria provocada por el coronavirus, Wamos Air vol\u00f3 con sus Jumbos operaciones especiales como la repatriaci\u00f3n de los espa\u00f1oles atrapados en Wuhan \u00a0y en otros pa\u00edses alrededor del mundo.<\/p>\n<p>La compa\u00f1\u00eda poco a poco fue retirando y reemplazando al 747 por aviones m\u00e1s modernos, m\u00e1s eficientes y competitivos en el actual mercado: los Airbus 330. de esta manera, a partir de abril de 2021 la empresa dispone de una flota de cinco A330-200 y un \u00fanico A330-300. Con ellos, propone las rutas que partiendo de Madrid llegan a: Canc\u00fan, Varadero, Punta Cana, Saman\u00e1, Orlando y Santiago de Chile.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_40826\"
