El plan de negocios inicial fue prestar servicios a\u00e9reos a las grandes ciudades argentinas sin pasar por Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n<p>Para ello se utilizaron inicialmente aviones de la canadiense Bombardier: los jets CRJ y turboh\u00e9lices Dash 8. Las aeronaves se operaron en configuraci\u00f3n est\u00e1ndar de 50 y 37 pasajeros respectivamente. Los Dash 8-100 fueron llegando progresivamente desde junio de 1.998 a abril de 1.999.<\/p>\n<p>Southern Winds ingres\u00f3 en el fat\u00eddico a\u00f1o 2001 relativamente bien parada. Se devolvieron los seis Dash 8-100 matriculados LV-YTA, LV-YTC, LV-ZGB, LV-ZLZ, LV-ZOD y LV-ZPM.<\/p>\n<p>Concretamente, y seg\u00fan se fueron realizando los \u00faltimos vuelos programados para cada avi\u00f3n, se fueron dando de baja del servicio comercial de Southern Winds. El primero en dejar de volar fue el <strong>LV-ZOD<\/strong> a fines de marzo de 2002, y se devolvi\u00f3 efectivamente en agosto de ese a\u00f1o. En junio se retir\u00f3 del servicio el <strong>LV-ZPM<\/strong>, que vol\u00f3 a Canad\u00e1 en julio. Las bajas continuaron con el <strong>LV-YTA<\/strong> en julio, que fue devuelto a los 11 d\u00edas de causar baja de la l\u00ednea de vuelo. En agosto se retiraron el<strong> LV-ZLZ<\/strong> y el <strong>LV-ZGB<\/strong>, que volvieron a Canad\u00e1 ese mismo mes. Puppio).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr>\n<h3><strong>Olympic Airways<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Olympic Airways fue, durante al menos cuatro d\u00e9cadas, la aerol\u00ednea de bandera griega. El dise\u00f1o de su livery con los anillos ol\u00edmpicos la hicieron, y la hacen, una muy distinguible representaci\u00f3n de Grecia en los cielos del mar Mediterr\u00e1neo oriental.<\/p>\n<p>Para diciembre de 2003, el grupo de empresas Olympic Airways era propietario de Olympic Airways, <strong>Olympic Aviation<\/strong>, Macedonian Airlines, Galileo Hellas, Olympic Fuel Company y Olympic Into-Plane Company. Olympic Catering se hab\u00eda vendido unos meses antes. Una empresa formada en los a\u00f1os 80 llamada Olympic AirTours (Olympiaki Touristiki) ya se hab\u00eda transformado en Macedonian Airlines.<\/p>\n<p>En ese a\u00f1o, llegaron los Dash 8 ex Southern Winds para la divisi\u00f3n Olympic Aviation y el gobierno griego tambi\u00e9n reestructur\u00f3 la empresa. Finalmente, el 28 de septiembre de 2009, Olympic Airlines dej\u00f3 de volar a la mayor\u00eda de sus 69 destinos, manteniendo \u00fanicamente unas pocas conexiones y todas las rutas de servicio p\u00fablico obligatorio dentro de Grecia, hasta que el Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones redistribuy\u00f3 las rutas a finales de noviembre. Contrariamente a su intento previo de fusi\u00f3n, ambos transportistas siguieron operando con marcas y liveries distintos despu\u00e9s de la adquisici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente Olympic Air pertenece al 100% a Aegean Airlines. Sirve principalmente destinos dom\u00e9sticos de baja densidad desde Atenas, Tesal\u00f3nica y Rodas. De ellos, dos partieron en 2017 para la keniana Silverstone Air Services donde acabaron su vida operativa como 5Y-SMP (ex SX-BIO y LV-ZOD) y 5Y-MHB (ex SX-BIQ y LV-ZLZ).<\/p>\n<p>Para agosto de 2022 continuaban en operaciones los otros dos aviones restantes: el SX-BIP (ex LV-ZPM) y el SX-BIR (ex LV-ZGB).
