Gravermoen, 14\/09\/1937).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Para reforzar esta \u00faltima fueron adquiridas, entre otras aeronaves, 13 bombarderos Martin 139 WAA con sus equipos complementarios y repuestos.<\/p>\n<p>Inicialmente se compraron doce ejemplares y poco tiempo despu\u00e9s fue incorporado un decimotercer avi\u00f3n (demostrador) para el entrenamiento de las tripulaciones.<\/p>\n<p>Para la selecci\u00f3n de los bombarderos navales, una comisi\u00f3n de adquisiciones estudi\u00f3 tres tipos de aeronaves: El Martin 139W, el Junkers Ju-86 y el Savoia-Marchetti S.79B, que por entonces representaban lo m\u00e1s moderno disponible.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_44000\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-44000\" style=\"width: 1110px\" distancia de 1.000 kil\u00f3metros, para que resultaran eficaces atacando buques de gran porte como acorazados y cruceros pesados.<\/p>\n<p>De los an\u00e1lisis de la comisi\u00f3n se concluy\u00f3 que el Martin era el m\u00e1s apto para el cumplimiento de los objetivos mencionados.<\/p>\n<p>Por lo tanto, se recomend\u00f3 su compra por acta del 21 de noviembre de 1936 y el contrato con la favorables del B-10 lo constitu\u00eda la posibilidad de que se le adosasen pontones para funcionar como hidroavi\u00f3n, si bien no se los utiliz\u00f3 localmente en esta modalidad.<\/p>\n<p>Sus dimensiones eran: Largo: 13,63 m; envergadura, 21,49 m y alto: 3,48 m.<\/p>\n<p>La velocidad m\u00e1xima a nivel del mar era de 306 km\/h y la autonom\u00eda de vuelo a 274 km\/h era de 10 ejemplares construidos para nuestra Aviaci\u00f3n Naval estaban equipados con motores Wright-Cyclone GR-1820-G2 de 850 HP en lugar de los originales GR-1820-F52 de 760HP.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo se los dot\u00f3 de un equipo de comunicaciones RCA de 50W de salida, un radio comp\u00e1s Kreusi, un comp\u00e1s aperi\u00f3dico Straightflite Type 790B para la navegaci\u00f3n y un piloto autom\u00e1tico Sperry.<\/p>\n<p>El sistema de armas incorporado inclu\u00eda tres ametralladoras Colt de 12,70 mm con 100 proyectiles cada una y ten\u00eda una carga m\u00e1xima de bombas de 1.029 kg.<\/p>\n<figure N\u00fa\u00f1ez Pad\u00edn).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Las primeras m\u00e1quinas llegaron al pa\u00eds por barco en octubre de 1937, siendo ensambladas en los Talleres de la Base Aeronaval Punta Indio y, para principios de 1938, se hab\u00edan formado las nuevas Unidades dotadas de los Martin:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La <strong>Escuadrilla Aeronaval de Bombardeo de la Escuadra Aeronaval N\u00ba 2<\/strong>, constituida en 1938 con asiento en la Base Aeronaval Comandante Espora, cerca de Bah\u00eda Blanca. Integrada por seis m\u00e1quinas matriculadas 2-B-1 a 2-B-6. realiz\u00f3 un gran desfile a\u00e9reo en el cual la Aviaci\u00f3n Naval despleg\u00f3, entre otras aeronaves, seis de estos Martin 139.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, en noviembre de 1939 y a pedido de la administraci\u00f3n de Parques Nacionales, descargaron sus bombas sobre el Glaciar Perito Moreno en Lago Roca, para liberar el canal que lo une al Lago Rico.<\/p>\n<p>En marzo de 1940 se realizaron en de Bombardeo de Punta Indio organiz\u00f3 un importante \u201craid\u201d a lo largo del territorio argentino.<\/p>\n<p>Tres Martin (los matriculados 3-B-1, 3-B-2 y 3-B-4) fueron destacados a la Estaci\u00f3n Aeronaval Ushuaia y el 13 de febrero, a las 04:00 hs., despegaron con rumbo a la Base Espora, donde se reabastecieron de combustible y 45 minutos despu\u00e9s reanudaron el viaje a
