cautiverio hasta su liberaci\u00f3n y retorno a los EE.UU., donde recibi\u00f3 tratamientos m\u00e9dicos para tratar las secuelas f\u00edsicas de su cautiverio.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_47958\" 30\/07\/1980, dirigi\u00f3 reparticiones del gobierno estadounidense en las cuales se dedic\u00f3 a administrar y mejorar la calidad de servicios m\u00e9dicos prestados a los veteranos de la guerra de Vietnam.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>\u00bfQui\u00e9n es Everett \u00c1lvarez Jr.?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Everett Alvarez (hijo), naci\u00f3 el 23\/12\/1937 en Salinas (California) en el seno de una familia completado su educaci\u00f3n primaria, se mudaron a San Francisco cuando los japoneses atacaron Pearl Harbor y los EE.UU. entraron en la II Guerra Mundial en 1941 ya que su padre ingres\u00f3 a trabajar en los astilleros de aquella ciudad californiana.<\/p>\n<p>Everett curs\u00f3 la escuela secundaria y, mientras trabajaba en empleos de medio tiempo, ingres\u00f3 a la Universidad de Santa experiencia de piloto y se postul\u00f3 en la Marina: Fue aceptado y su entrenamiento se desarroll\u00f3 en Pensacola (Florida) y Texas siendo transferido a la costa oeste.<\/p>\n<p>Con el rango de Lieutenant Junior Graduation (Guardiamarina), Everett hizo su primer despliegue en 1963 embarcando en el portaaviones <strong>USS Constellation <\/strong>como reservista de la Marina de EE.UU., pero Ilyas<\/strong> y en 1964 se estaba preparando para su segundo despliegue, aunque manten\u00eda sus aspiraciones de ingresar al programa de astronautas de la NASA, para lo cual necesitaba unas 2.000 horas de vuelo en reactores mas un posgrado en ingenier\u00eda aeron\u00e1utica.<\/p>\n<p>Pero su vida dar\u00eda un giro imprevisto: En mayo de 1964 su portaaviones, el USS Constellation con el escuadr\u00f3n <strong>VA-144 \u201cRoadrunners\u201d<\/strong> a bordo, zarp\u00f3 originalmente hacia Jap\u00f3n, realizando una parada en Hong Kong; pero el 4 de mayo se desat\u00f3 el conflicto en Vietnam para los EE.UU. cuando el USS Maddox fue presuntamente atacado por fuerzas norvietnamitas en el Golfo de Tonk\u00edn.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_47994\" Vietnam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u00c1lvarez particip\u00f3 en una misi\u00f3n de ataque el 5 de agosto integrando el VA-144 y participando en la \u00abOperaci\u00f3n Pierce Arrow\u00bb, b\u00e1sicamente una serie de ataques a\u00e9reos contra torpederos y otras embarcaciones navales norvietnamitas estacionados en el puerto de Hon Gay y sus bases e instalaciones de apoyo, en represalia por los ataques contra los destructores estadounidenses.<\/p>\n<p>Durante este enfrentamiento, el A-4C de Alvarez fue alcanzado por fuego antia\u00e9reo y \u00e9l se vio obligado a eyectarse.<\/p>\n<figure sabemos que su ef\u00edmera vida operativa dur\u00f3 poco m\u00e1s de dos a\u00f1os y tuvo un \u00fanico usuario: Construido en la planta Douglas de Long Beach, el ensamblaje final se realiz\u00f3 en c\u00f3digo interno \u00abNK-413\u00bb entre 06\/1962 y 1963 y cambi\u00f3 al \u00abNK-411\u00bb un a\u00f1o antes de ser derribado por la artiller\u00eda antia\u00e9rea cerca de Hon Gay, Vietnam del Norte.<\/p>\n<p>En 09\/2017, 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group y la Escuela de Aviaci\u00f3n George T. Baker de Miami (Florida), realizaron una r\u00e9plica del A-4C del VA-144 del\u00a0 Lt.
