Octubre 2022\u200b.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p>A mediados de marzo de 1972, comenzaron a volar los A-4Q Skyhawk en Argentina. Se trataba de un verdadero sistema de armas, que introdujo por primera cosas como el misil aire-aire, reabastecimiento, reconocimiento fotogr\u00e1fico, etc. Y una capacidad operativa embarcada, \u00fanica en la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El autor Jorge N\u00fa\u00f1ez Padin a partir de una exhaustiva investigaci\u00f3n de gran cantidad de documentos estadounidenses, ingleses y obviamente argentinos, describe el proceso de selecci\u00f3n y puesta en servicio de esta aeronave. El mismo se remonta a principios de los a\u00f1os sesenta, cuando la Armada Argentina mostraba su inter\u00e9s por el Skyhawk. La compra de cincuenta A-4B Skyhawk por parte de la Fuerza A\u00e9rea, dej\u00f3 sin chances a la Aviaci\u00f3n Naval, que como consuelo recibi\u00f3 una contra oferta por un lote de A-4A que fue rechazada. Desafortunadamente la oferta brit\u00e1nica si bien era amplia, en general ten\u00edan inferior prestaci\u00f3n con respecto a los aviones equivalentes norteamericanos. De acuerdo a la copiosa base documental analizada, se sabe ahora que, de no haber habido plazos de entrega tan largos, la Aviaci\u00f3n Naval se hubiera equipado con aviones Hawker Hunter o Hawker Siddeley Harrier. M\u00e1s a\u00fan, la Armada Argentina estuvo muy cerca de ser el primer cliente de exportaci\u00f3n del Harrier, incluso de haber comprado el portaaviones HMS\u00a0\u201cHermes\u201d. \u00a0Finalmente EE.UU. autoriz\u00f3 la venta de un lote de Skyhawk modernizados, en condiciones muy convenientes, bloqueando las propuestas brit\u00e1nicas.<\/p>\n<p>El A-4Q Skyhawk era una versi\u00f3n exclusiva para la Aviaci\u00f3n Naval que combinaba entre otras cosas, \u00a0la c\u00e9lula del A-4B con el reactor m\u00e1s potente del A-4C y electr\u00f3nica de A-4F. El resultado fue un Skyhawk, con una excelente relaci\u00f3n peso\/potencia. Entre las actividades de vuelo realizadas, se puede mencionar: 3 turnos de vuelo en MS-760 para pr\u00e1ctica de procedimientos locales y conocimiento de zona; adem\u00e1s de 15 turnos de vuelo con un total de 27 horas en A-4B (cubriendo temas de seguridad, acrobacia, formaci\u00f3n y navegaci\u00f3n. Se llev\u00f3 a cabo durante los meses de febrero y marzo de 1971. Los otros pa\u00edses eran: EE.UU., Gran Breta\u00f1a, Francia y Australia. No se considera a la India, ya que el Hawker Sea Hawk era una aeronave antigua para la fecha; en tanto que la marina de Brasil solo operaba helic\u00f3pteros.<\/p>\n<p>La monograf\u00eda relata con precisi\u00f3n la cuidadosa preparaci\u00f3n a lo largo de 1978, dada la\u00a0 controversia territorial \u00a0con Chile por las aguas \u00a0del Beagle. Destaca las experiencias para poder empe\u00f1ar los Skyhawk en eventuales combates contra los Hawker Hunter de la FACH. Tambi\u00e9n se pasa revista, a las operaciones durante la guerra de Malvinas, durante la cual se hizo evidente las falencias t\u00e9cnicas de los Skyhawk, aunque tripulados por pilotos muy bien adiestrados y aguerridos. Cuando promediaba la guerra, la Armada Argentina encar\u00f3 una controvertida compra de A-4E Skyhawk en Israel para re-equipar a la 3\u00b0 de Caza y Ataque. Documentos recientemente desclasificados, revelan mucha informaci\u00f3n sobre la trastienda de este fallida operaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Los cap\u00edtulos finales est\u00e1n enfocados en aspectos t\u00e9cnica del A-4Q Skyhawk, como ser las performances, \u00a0las mejoras y modificaciones realizadas en el pa\u00eds. Otro punto fuerte, es la identificaci\u00f3n e historia individual de todos los A-4Q y de los A-4E seleccionados por la Armada Argentina. La obra est\u00e1 ilustrada por unas 150 im\u00e1genes, con el detalle exacto de fecha y circunstancias. Los perfiles y vistas en planta (alrededor de una veintena), son obra de Javier\u00a0\u201cJavo\u201d\u00a0Ruberto. La portada es una representaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica del A-4Q Skyhawk 3-A-305 tripulado por el Teniente de Nav\u00edo\u00a0 \u201dFranc\u00e9s\u201d\u00a0Lecour durante el ataque a la HMS\u00a0\u201dArdent\u201d.
