Un t\u00edpico cartel de aeropuerto.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Al principio, las aerol\u00edneas supon\u00edan que los pocos pasajeros que hab\u00eda eran iguales entre s\u00ed, y si eran distintos, era un problema de ellos, no de las aerol\u00edneas. Pero, a medida en que el transporte aumentaba de volumen comprobaron, al igual que las navieras tiempo atr\u00e1s, que no era as\u00ed y fueron creando lo que ahora llamar\u00edamos protocolos para atender las diferencias.<\/p>\n<p>Algunos de estos est\u00e1n pensados con un car\u00e1cter inclusivo, para hacer m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil el viaje a estos pasajeros distintos, y de paso vender m\u00e1s pasajes, pero tambi\u00e9n los hay por la negativa, para detectar y segregar otros pasajeros deben ser evitados.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>El pasajero normal<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Las aerol\u00edneas debieron definir al pasajero normal, que result\u00f3 ser una persona de aproximadamente 1,75 metros de altura y 75 kilos de peso, capaz de subir y bajar del avi\u00f3n por sus propios medios o con m\u00ednima ayuda. Esto fue fundamental para fijar las dimensiones de los aviones. Si bien la mayor\u00eda de los viajeros de los primeros tiempos eran funcionarios u hombres de negocios que se las arreglaban solos en otros pa\u00edses, lo cierto es que las instrucciones biling\u00fces o multiling\u00fces aparecieron temprano en la aviaci\u00f3n. Lo \u00fanico que pod\u00edan y pueden hacer es recalcar hasta el cansancio su culto de la seguridad y la perfecci\u00f3n de su mantenimiento. Al principio la soluci\u00f3n la pon\u00edan los padres a los que se permiti\u00f3 transportar un mois\u00e9s, que evidentemente no se pod\u00eda usar en vuelo, y el chico deb\u00eda ir en brazos, pero ya en los a\u00f1os cincuenta hab\u00eda cunas colgantes que pod\u00edan instalarse de diversas maneras, sobre los asientos de los padres. Algunos fabricantes de aeronaves ejecutivas, en la actualidad, hasta ofrecen tapizados veganos s\u00edmil cuero. Las aerol\u00edneas todav\u00eda no.<\/p>\n<p>Y en lo relacionado con la religi\u00f3n, el caso m\u00e1s extremo fue El Al, que por seguir los dictados jud\u00edos ortodoxos no volaba los s\u00e1bados, algo que fue terrible para sus balances.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Salud<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>En otros tiempos se pensaba que los problemas de salud eran un buen motivo para privarse de viajar. Hoy las cosas han cambiado, y para ganar pasajeros con problemas cr\u00f3nicos las aerol\u00edneas dan muchas facilidades (no todas) para pasajeros que requieren cosas tales como incubadoras, ox\u00edgeno, equipos de di\u00e1lisis o sillas de ruedas o perros gu\u00edas entrenados.<\/p>\n<p>En algunos casos se exige viajar con acompa\u00f1antes para ayudar al pasajero a llegar a las salidas de emergencia, comunicarse sobre temas de seguridad, manejar el cintur\u00f3n de seguridad, realizar necesidades fisiol\u00f3gicas, colocarse el salvavidas o la m\u00e1scara de ox\u00edgeno.<\/p>\n<p>Las grandes compa\u00f1\u00edas tienen un servicio m\u00e9dico que atiende estas cuestiones y negocia con los pasajeros qu\u00e9 se puede hacer y c\u00f3mo. De cualquier manera, un avi\u00f3n de l\u00ednea no es un avi\u00f3n sanitario, y eso siempre debe tenerse en cuenta.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Los pasajeros disruptivos<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Pasajeros molestos siempre hubo, en todos los modos de transporte, y no pueden identificarse f\u00e1cilmente antes del vuelo, pero un d\u00eda alguien secuestr\u00f3 un avi\u00f3n a mano armada, y all\u00ed las cosas empezaron a cambiar.
