La aerol\u00ednea va a tener una posici\u00f3n absolutamente dominante en el hub de Madrid, lo que le permitir\u00e1 ser m\u00e1s rentable, y en teor\u00eda invertir en mejoras de cara al usuario (algo que est\u00e1 por verse).<\/p>\n<p>La compra de Air Europa consolidar\u00e1 Madrid como puerta de entrada a Latinoam\u00e9rica desde Europa, y podr\u00e1 manejar mejor la competencia con otros hubs europeos a estos destinos (por ejemplo, Par\u00eds con Air France, Amsterdam con KLM, \u00f3 Frankfort con Lufthansa). Pero en aquellos casos donde no compiten, tambi\u00e9n habr\u00e1 afecci\u00f3n, porque los aviones de Air Europa de corto radio, que llenaban aviones de largo de SkyTeam, la alianza a la que pertenece Air Europa, dejaran de hacerlo.<\/p>\n<p>Por tanto, a las alianzas competidoras les va a resultar m\u00e1s complicado conseguir clientes del mercado espa\u00f1ol para llenar sus aviones con destino al continente americano, y van a tener que evaluar si son capaces de rentabilizar ciertas rutas sin contar con los pasajeros que aportaba Air Europa y que ahora se llevar\u00e1 Iberia.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>\u00bfHabr\u00e1 alg\u00fan beneficio para los pasajeros?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La reducci\u00f3n de la oferta nunca beneficia al comprador. Estas tres compiten en precio y horarios por captar al cliente, as\u00ed que una vez que se materialice la fusi\u00f3n, lo m\u00e1s seguro es que Air Europa e Iberia coordinen sus estrategias de forma que a efectos pr\u00e1cticos solo habr\u00e1 dos empresas compitiendo, en vez de las tres anteriores.<\/p>\n<p>Por tanto, el riesgo para el pasajero que supone esta compra est\u00e1 tanto los cambios en la oferta de horarios como en la subida de precios. La adquisici\u00f3n de Air Europa otorgar\u00e1 a IAG un dominio incre\u00edble sobre el mercado de vuelos espa\u00f1ol, ya que es tambi\u00e9n propietaria de Iberia y Vueling.<\/p>\n<p>Aunque la marca Air Europa se mantendr\u00e1, ser\u00e1 gestionada por Iberia. Por tanto, es evidente que podr\u00eda haber una amenaza para la competencia por las tarifas a\u00e9reas espa\u00f1olas. Las \u00fanicas terceras en discordia ser\u00e1n aquellas lowcost que tambi\u00e9n realicen vuelos punto a punto.<\/p>\n<p>Como resultado, todo esto conlleva el riesgo de reducir las opciones de vuelos, y por tanto la oferta, para los pasajeros. En resumen, para el pasajero habr\u00e1 un nuevo catering: ajo y agua\u2026<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>NOTA:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a><\/strong> Vale la pena recordar que Lufthansa ha coqueteado con la compra de la italiana ITA, y que Air France-KLM ha mostrado inter\u00e9s por la portuguesa TAP.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La largamente anunciada, y muchas veces demorada, compra de Air Europa por parte de IAG finalmente se acabar\u00e1 concretando.
