El 26 de abril de ese a\u00f1o se form\u00f3 el 301 Escuadr\u00f3n en la Base A\u00e9rea de Zaragoza (BAZ), con el primer C-130H H\u00e9rcules (T-10 en Espa\u00f1a) llegando a Zaragoza el 18 de diciembre de 1973 procedente de Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p>En 1973 la flota de aviones de transporte en el Ej\u00e9rcito del Aire (EA) estaba compuesta por un pu\u00f1ado de los\u00a0 veteranos C-47 Dakota, diecis\u00e9is DC-4 Skymaster, diez C-207 Azor de fabricaci\u00f3n nacional y una docena de DHC-4A Caribou. La llegada del H\u00e9rcules supuso un incremento sustancial en las capacidades de transporte del EA.<\/p>\n<p>En enero de 1976 se adquirir\u00edan tres unidades m\u00e1s, pero de la versi\u00f3n KC-130H convertible a cisterna (TK-10 en nomenclatura espa\u00f1ola). Entregas posteriores completar\u00edan la flota de 12 unidades, siendo la \u00faltima entrega el 16 de diciembre de 1980. Poco a poco fueron llegando m\u00e1s unidades de T-23 y fueron asumiendo misiones, procediendo los H\u00e9rcules a causar\u00a0 baja en el servicio el 31 de diciembre de 2020.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de ello continuaron en vuelo, sin realizar misiones operativas, hasta finales del primer trimestre del 2021, con el prop\u00f3sito de posibilitar su posterior posicionamiento en vuelo en los destinos finales seleccionados para su enajenaci\u00f3n definitiva. El T.10-02 fue declarado en 2013 \u201cno apto para el servicio\u201d tras un accidente sufrido en tierra. El T.10-04, en 2016, tras ser detectado por la Maestranza A\u00e9rea de Sevilla un problema mayor se anticip\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n su baja, permaneciendo en Sevilla hasta su completo desmontaje por la compa\u00f1\u00eda Blue Aerospace en 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Los TK.10-05 y TK.10-06 se entregaron en diciembre del 2020 a la Fuerza A\u00e9rea Uruguaya y los TK.10-11 y TK.10-12 fueron entregados en febrero del 2021 a la Rep\u00fablica Federal del Per\u00fa. Doce H\u00e9rcules iban a ser sustituidos por m\u00e1s del doble de A400M que adem\u00e1s doblaban en capacidades a los veteranos T10.<\/p>\n<p>El pedido inicial de A400M fue de veintisiete aparatos, pero en mayo de 2013 el Ministerio de Defensa inform\u00f3 de que el EA solamente operar\u00eda catorce aviones.<\/p>\n<p>El gobierno de Aznar, del Partido Popular, fue el que se comprometi\u00f3 a la adquisici\u00f3n de los veintisiete aviones. Viajaban a bordo el Secretario de Estado de Defensa (SEDEF) D. Agust\u00edn Conde Baj\u00e9n y el Jefe del Estado Mayor del Aire (JEMA) el General Francisco Javier Garc\u00eda Arn\u00e1iz.<\/p>\n<p>A su llegada fueron recibidos por el Jefe de la Base A\u00e9rea de Zaragoza el General de Brigada Antonio Francisco Nebot Mas y por el Coronel Jefe del Ala 31 Andr\u00e9s Gamboa.<\/p>\n<p>La ceremonia de recepci\u00f3n comenz\u00f3 con un relato que glosaba la trayectoria, la importancia y el buen hacer de la aviaci\u00f3n de transporte en el EA. A continuaci\u00f3n el General Arnaiz hizo entrega de forma simb\u00f3lica de las llaves del nuevo avi\u00f3n al Coronel Gamboa Jefe del Ala 31.<\/p>\n<p>El A400M increment\u00f3 notablemente la capacidad de carga y el radio de alcance de nuestras Fuerzas Armadas reforzando sus capacidades expedicionarias. La capacidad de carga se duplic\u00f3 respecto al H\u00e9rcules, puede llevarse el doble de carga a la misma distancia o a doble distancia la misma carga.<\/p>\n<p>El d\u00eda 25 de abril ha llegado el A-400M n\u00famero catorce, con lo que la flota a operar por el EA ya est\u00e1 al completo. La Coru\u00f1a &#8211; 1976.<\/li>\n<li>Terremoto en Yugoslavia &#8211; 1979.<\/li>\n<li>Cooperaci\u00f3n en Guinea Ecuatorial 1979-1983. Se realizaron 5 misiones (191:30 horas de vuelo), transportando 256 pasajeros (AECID, UME y MINISDEF) y 183,5 toneladas de carga.<\/li>\n<li>Repatriaci\u00f3n del tesoro que transportaba la fragata Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de las \u00a0Mercedes, capturado por la empresa norteamericana Odissey \u2013 2012.<\/li>\n<li>Apoyo log\u00edstico para la inmigraci\u00f3n ilegal en Melilla \u2013 2014.<\/li>\n<li>Aeroevacuaci\u00f3n de enfermos por el virus \u00c9bola \u2013 Septiembre 2014.<\/li>\n<li>Apoyo a la UME incendios Canarias &#8211; 2019.<\/li>\n<li>Apoyo a Mozambique, cicl\u00f3n Idai- 2019.<\/li>\n<li>Transporte de material sanitario desde la Rep\u00fablica Popular de China con T.23 dentro de la Operaci\u00f3n Balmis frente al virus COVID-19 \u2013 2020.<\/li>\n<li>Apoyo Operaci\u00f3n Baluarte de distribuci\u00f3n de personal y material sanitario, fundamentalmente vacunas en 2020\/2021.<\/li>\n<li>Apoyo a erupci\u00f3n volc\u00e1nica de la Isla de la Palma- septiembre-noviembre 2021.<\/li>\n<li>Evacuaci\u00f3n de personal civil afgano desde Pakist\u00e1n. operaci\u00f3n Atalanta en Yibuti, Libre Hidalgo en el L\u00edbano, apoyo a Irak, apoyo a Turqu\u00eda, operaci\u00f3n EUTM Mal\u00ed, Seguridad Cooperativa Sierra-Charlie, apoyo a la Rep\u00fablica Centro Africana, y operaci\u00f3n Polic\u00eda A\u00e9rea en el B\u00e1ltico y Enhanced Forward Presense.<\/p>\n<p>A su vez el Ala tambi\u00e9n participa en los diferentes ejercicios nacionales e internacionales, bien como protagonista realizando asaltos a\u00e9reos o lanzamientos paracaidistas, bien en apoyo a otras mediante reabastecimiento en vuelo o proporcionando capacidad de aerotransporte, como en el despliegue de Ejercicios tipo Red Flag en Las Vegas (Nevada, EEUU), ejercicio Sirio, ejercicio Flint Lock, Strong Resolve, ejercicios del Ej\u00e9rcito de Tierra como el Lone y Listed Paratrooper, Green Flag en Anchorage (Alaska, EE.UU.) Lanzamientos, fundamentalmente de paracaidistas y cargas, destinados al entrenamiento de unidades en el \u00e1mbito conjunto como la Brigada Paracaidista, Tercio de la Armada, Escuela Militar de Monta\u00f1a y Operaciones Especiales, as\u00ed como dentro del Ej\u00e9rcito del Aire y el Espacio, al Escuadr\u00f3n de Apoyo al Despliegue A\u00e9reo y el Escuadr\u00f3n de Zapadores Paracaidistas principalmente. Ha sido un acto presidido por el Jefe de Estado Mayor del Aire (JEMA) Javier Salto Martinez Avial, al que han asistido diversas autoridades civiles, eclesi\u00e1sticas, pol\u00edticas y militares de Arag\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Su Alteza Real (SAR) Felipe VI ha enviado un mensaje en que felicita el buen hacer del Ala 31 y a su Jefe el Coronel Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Garc\u00eda Paniagua. El Rey ha animado continuar por la senda emprendida y ha manifestado su reconocimiento por el esfuerzo, sacrificio y servicio diario a Espa\u00f1a. Ha destacado que el Ala 31 lleva 50 a\u00f1os haciendo honor a su lema <em>\u201cLo que sea, cuando sea y donde sea\u201d<\/em><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tal como muestra la intensa y decisiva participaci\u00f3n en misiones tanto de ayuda humanitaria como en zonas de conflicto a lo largo y ancho del planeta. Haciendo especial hincapi\u00e9 en la sensibilidad, capacidad de respuesta y permanente disponibilidad de los miembros del Ala 31.<\/p>\n<p>Como ep\u00edlogo a esta conmemoraci\u00f3n, podemos afirmar desde Gaceta Aeron\u00e1utica, que el A400M ha representado una revoluci\u00f3n en el transporte a\u00e9reo en el EA y lo ha convertido en una capaz y confiable fuerza con capacidad expedicionaria.
