Aunque reduce las frecuencias fuera de temporada, los zaragozanos ganaron conectividad con dos destinos insulares directos (foto: Fernando Puppio).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Vueling es por tama\u00f1o de flota y red de rutas la mayor compa\u00f1\u00eda de Espa\u00f1a (tal como hemos visto en <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/?p=45778\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vueling: La flota de la mayor aerol\u00ednea espa\u00f1ola<\/a><\/strong><\/em>), y opera destinos en Europa, \u00c1frica y Medio Oriente con sus m\u00e1s de 100 aviones Airbus de la familia A320.<\/p>\n<p>En la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada tambi\u00e9n abri\u00f3 varias bases de bases fuera de Espa\u00f1a, donde posee 12, pero no rivaliza con sus grandes rivales del sector lowcost como Ryanair, easyJet o Wizz Air. Pero a medida que la compa\u00f1\u00eda concluye su recuperaci\u00f3n posterior a la pandemia, se est\u00e1 concentrando en consolidar su presencia en los mercados existentes en lugar de agregar nuevas bases.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Una aerol\u00ednea espa\u00f1ola, pero tambi\u00e9n europea<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Fuera de Espa\u00f1a, Vueling ha sabido construir una red soportada por bases en Francia (Par\u00eds Orly), Italia (Florencia y Roma Fiumicino), Pa\u00edses Bajos (Amsterdam Schiphol) y Reino Unido (Londres Gatwick). Por el contrario, todas las operaciones de Vueling est\u00e1n sujetas a un \u00fanico certificado de operador a\u00e9reo (AOC).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Perseverancia<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La fuerte presencia europea de Vueling se ve acentuada por el hecho que ha sido capaz de lanzar nuevas rutas desde sus bases fuera de Espa\u00f1a. Por tanto, expandirse a mercados vecinos como Medio Oriente, como ha hecho Wizz Air en los Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos con Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, no est\u00e1 ahora mismo en los planes de Vueling.<\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, la prioridad de la compa\u00f1\u00eda del grupo IAG es consolidar lo que ya tiene en lo que a flota se refiere. En cambio, se est\u00e1 enfocando en implementar sus recursos de manera m\u00e1s efectiva de una manera que fortalezca su posici\u00f3n en los mercados existentes. Esta parte de su estrategia funciona junto con la desestacionalizaci\u00f3n y ha ayudado a aumentar la capacidad. Esto llevar\u00e1 a la aerol\u00ednea a estar en 2023 al 109% de la capacidad de 2019.<\/p>\n<p>En el verano de 2022, Vueling oper\u00f3 con m\u00e1s capacidad que en el verano de 2019. Sin embargo, dado que la aerol\u00ednea busca recuperarse de los a\u00f1os dif\u00edciles de la pandemia, quiere desestacionalizar sus operaciones. Una forma en que esto sucede es a trav\u00e9s de una mayor utilizaci\u00f3n de aeronaves a lo largo de todo el a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Con la demanda de viajes en auge, a las aerol\u00edneas les interesa sacar provecho de esto aumentando su capacidad. Estos incluyen conexiones a lugares como Amman, y Luxor. La aerol\u00ednea se enfrenta a la competencia de la aerol\u00ednea de bandera de Jordania, Royal Jordanian, en la primera de estas rutas, pero tiene el monopolio en el \u00faltimo corredor.<\/p>\n<p>El aumento de la utilizaci\u00f3n de la flota de Vueling y el posterior crecimiento de la red a trav\u00e9s de la desestacionalizaci\u00f3n han resultado en \u00faltima instancia en niveles de rendimiento destacables en comparaci\u00f3n con los alcanzados en 2019. Si bien la capacidad de verano se mantendr\u00e1 constante, ya en el primer trimestre de 2023 se super\u00f3 al 2019 con una cifra del 113 %.
