Para el \u00faltimo de estos m\u00e9todos, generalmente se requiere que los pasajeros tomen un autob\u00fas hasta una posici\u00f3n remota de estacionamiento del avi\u00f3n, donde se realiza el abordaje a trav\u00e9s de escaleras.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, los salones m\u00f3viles son veh\u00edculos poco conocidos que sirvieron como una especie de h\u00edbrido que resumi\u00f3 el autob\u00fas y la escalera. Los salones m\u00f3viles llegaron como una de esas innovaciones.<\/p>\n<p>Entraron en servicio en el aeropuerto de Washington Dulles en 1962. Tambi\u00e9n se han utilizado en los aeropuertos Trudeau y Mirabel de Montreal, as\u00ed como en aeropuertos como el JFK de Nueva York y el Charles de Gaulle de Par\u00eds. Estos veh\u00edculos ten\u00edan 16,46 metros de largo, 4,88 metros de ancho y 5,33 metros de alto. UU. Si tuviera que renovar toda la flota, el aeropuerto se enfrentar\u00eda a una factura de alrededor de $ 140 millones. El costo es tan alto que las salas m\u00f3viles ya no est\u00e1n en producci\u00f3n, lo que significa que encontrar piezas de repuesto para las m\u00e1quinas obsoletas en 2023 se ha vuelto cada vez m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil y costoso. El sistema, conocido como AeroTrain, se introdujo en 2010 y, a pesar de su costo de U$S 1.400 millones, actualmente no llega a las salas de embarque D.
