combustible con 30% de SAF producido a partir de aceite de cocina usado, se realiz\u00f3 en el <strong>A320neo PR-XBN<\/strong> (c\/n 11522), avi\u00f3n con tecnolog\u00eda avanzada para reducir el consumo de combustible y las emisiones de di\u00f3xido que se enmarca en el proyecto de renovaci\u00f3n de flota de LATAM y permitir\u00e1 al grupo tener en operaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s de 100 aviones de el 11\/07\/2023 a la 01:48 (local), aterrizando en Fortaleza (Brasil) a las 05:28 (local), y continu\u00f3 vuelo hacia el centro de mantenimiento de LATAM en S\u00e3o Carlos el mismo d\u00eda empleando el n\u00famero de vuelo <strong>JJ9426<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Al cierre de 2023, LATAM espera tener en operaci\u00f3n 31 aviones de la familia A320neo (alcanzando una flota total de 323 aviones), lo que le\u00a0le permitir\u00e1 no s\u00f3lo complementar su actual flota de aviones de nueva generaci\u00f3n sino tambi\u00e9n transformarse en una de las flotas m\u00e1s modernas y eficientes de Sudam\u00e9rica, mejorando a\u00fan m\u00e1s su conectividad y operando 1.500 vuelos diarios a 147 destinos en 24 pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_50408\" aceites) que son procesadas junto con petr\u00f3leo para producir un combustible bajo en di\u00f3xido de carbono (CO2) durante su ciclo de vida.<\/p>\n<p>En este caso, el 30% de SAF utilizado en el vuelo cont\u00f3 con un factor de reducci\u00f3n atribuido de alrededor del 80% del CO2 en su ciclo de vida, en comparaci\u00f3n al combustible convencional, de acuerdo con el <em>\u00abDefault Life Cycle Emissions Values for CORSIA Eligible Fuels\u00bb<\/em> (Valores de Ciclo de Vida de Emisiones por Defecto para Combustibles Elegibles CORSIA) de la Organizaci\u00f3n Internacional de El a\u00f1o pasado, anunciamos nuestro inter\u00e9s de llegar a un 5% de uso de SAF al 2030, privilegiando su producci\u00f3n en Sudam\u00e9rica y lo hicimos porque estamos convencidos de que los combustibles sostenibles de aviaci\u00f3n jugar\u00e1n un rol importante en la descarbonizaci\u00f3n de la industria\u201d<\/em>, dijo el ejecutivo jefe del Grupo LATAM, <strong>Ramiro Alfons\u00edn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>El ejecutivo agreg\u00f3 que <em>\u201choy las cantidades de SAF disponibles a nivel mundial son muy limitadas, y el acceso a este tipo de combustibles en Sudam\u00e9rica contin\u00faa siendo uno de los grandes retos que enfrenta la descarbonizaci\u00f3n de la industria. Sudam\u00e9rica tiene un gran potencial para producir SAF, y con ello hacer una contribuci\u00f3n muy significativa a la acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica, por ello es conveniente avanzar en una agenda que involucre a los diferentes actores para promover la producci\u00f3n de SAF en nuestra regi\u00f3n\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>El avi\u00f3n A320neo ofrece un promedio de ahorro de combustible (en comparaci\u00f3n con la tecnolog\u00eda anterior) del 15%, que puede llegar al 20% en los tramos m\u00e1s largos.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan datos del fabricante europeo, desde su entrada en servicio, la familia A320neo ha logrado evitar la generaci\u00f3n de aproximadamente 20 millones de toneladas de CO2 y una reducci\u00f3n de hasta el 50% en su huella ac\u00fastica.<\/p>\n<p>En mayo de 2021, el grupo LATAM lanz\u00f3 su renovada estrategia de sostenibilidad en la que estableci\u00f3 desafiantes metas: Lograr la carbono-neutralidad al 2050, eliminar los pl\u00e1sticos de un solo uso en 2023 y convertirse en un grupo cero residuos a relleno sanitario en 2027, todo esto con la finalidad de contribuir a la protecci\u00f3n de los ecosistemas de Am\u00e9rica del Sur por los pr\u00f3ximos 30
