\u201ctal cual estaba\u201d el 12\/12\/1974, con 3.639 horas de vuelo a sus espaldas.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Al servicio de la Fuerza A\u00e9rea Argentina<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>En las instalaciones de <strong>Lockheed Aircraft Services<\/strong> en Ontario (California) fue reacondicionado para su env\u00edo por v\u00eda mar\u00edtima a Argentina, llegando en 1975 y retrasando su puesta en servicio por falta de documentaci\u00f3n y manuales de mantenimiento adem\u00e1s de la ausencia de bancos de pruebas.<\/p>\n<p>Al llegar a nuestro pa\u00eds no contaba con documentaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica y conservaba los colores e insignias de la USN, muy similar a toda la flota argentina de A-4C.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_50809\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-50809\" style=\"width: 350px\" Cuarto.<\/p>\n<p>El <strong>\u00c1rea de Material R\u00edo Cuarto<\/strong> (ARMACUAR) fue responsable de instalar nuevos equipos NAV\/COM y soportes fijos debajo de las alas y spoilers similares a las variantes A-4E y A-4F.<\/p>\n<p>El radar AN\/APG-53A result\u00f3 muy dif\u00edcil de poner en funcionamiento por falta de informaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica y repuestos, por lo que fue descontinuado.<\/p>\n<p>Se traslad\u00f3 a <strong>El Plumerillo (Mendoza)<\/strong>, base del Grupo de Operaciones 4, el 27\/07\/1978 y particip\u00f3 en su primer despliegue a Puerto San Juli\u00e1n (con escala en la Estaci\u00f3n Aeronaval Comandante Espora) que se estaba estableciendo como base operativa avanzada el 05\/09\/1978, regresando a Mendoza el 07\/09\/1978.<\/p>\n<p>El 19\/11\/1978 se despleg\u00f3 hacia R\u00edo Gallegos durante cinco d\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>El 13\/12\/1978, fue nuevamente desplegado como parte de uno de los escuadrones a\u00e9reos m\u00f3viles A-4C a Comodoro Rivadavia debido al <strong>conflicto del Canal de Beagle<\/strong>, que casi desemboca en un enfrentamiento armado con Chile a finales de ese mes.<\/p>\n<p>Retirado a R\u00edo Cuarto el 27\/12\/1978 como medida de precauci\u00f3n ante un posible ataque chileno, finalmente regres\u00f3 a la base el 10\/01\/1979.<\/p>\n<p>En 1982 se instalaron los equipos Litton LTN-211 VLF Omega (navegaci\u00f3n), Cossor 2720 (IFF) y el radioalt\u00edmetro Thomson-CSF AHV-611, siguiendo un proceso iniciado en 1980.<\/p>\n<p>La recuperaci\u00f3n de Puerto Argentino el 02\/04\/1982 encontr\u00f3 al C-322 estacionado en Mendoza, completando tres horas de vuelo local.<\/p>\n<p>En 04\/1982, tripulado por el capit\u00e1n Jorge Garc\u00eda, se traslad\u00f3 de la IV Brigada A\u00e9rea a <strong>Puerto San Juli\u00e1n<\/strong> (Santa Cruz), desde donde realizar\u00eda todas sus misiones de combate en el Oc\u00e9ano Atl\u00e1ntico Sur.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_50812\" resta del mes complet\u00f3 cuatro vuelos de entrenamiento desde San Juli\u00e1n (los d\u00edas 17, 18, 21 y 23) y pr\u00e1cticas de bombardeo (el d\u00eda 25).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>En guerra por Malvinas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A partir del 01\/05\/1982, una vez iniciadas las acciones militares en el teatro de operaciones, y en cumplimiento de la\u00a0 OF1095 (orden fragmentaria) de atacar objetivos navales, despeg\u00f3 de San Juli\u00e1n a las 11:00 am utilizando el indicativo \u201cOso 1\u201d ( capit\u00e1n Fernando Castellano), repost\u00f3 en vuelo (2.000 libras de combustible), pero no encontr\u00f3 objetivos y aterriz\u00f3 de regreso en San Juli\u00e1n a las 13:30 horas.<\/p>\n<p>Ese mismo d\u00eda por la tarde realiz\u00f3 otra salida ofensiva de reconocimiento sobre Malvinas como \u201cPampa 1\u201d (capit\u00e1n Eduardo Almo\u00f1o), suspendiendo posteriormente la misi\u00f3n y regresando a base por problemas de comunicaci\u00f3n y transferencia de combustible.<\/p>\n<p>Su siguiente misi\u00f3n tuvo lugar el 09\/05\/1982 (OF 1174) tripulada por el alferez Gerardo Isaac (\u201cTrueno 4\u201d), pero fue cancelada por fallas de La aeronave fue pilotada por el capit\u00e1n Fernando Castellano (foto: Ram\u00f3n Su\u00e1rez v\u00eda Jorge Nu\u00f1ez Pad\u00edn).<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p>El 11\/05\/1982 realiz\u00f3 dos salidas desde San Juli\u00e1n, tripuladas por los primeros tenientes Normando Costantino y Omar Castillo, respectivamente.<\/p>\n<p>Volvi\u00f3 a despegar el 13\/05\/1982 (teniente Jorge Bono) y el 14\/05\/1982 (alferez Guillermo Mart\u00ednez) en vuelos de entrenamiento de navegaci\u00f3n a baja altura.<\/p>\n<p>El 20\/05\/1982 se retir\u00f3 a Mendoza, probablemente para fines de mantenimiento, pilotado por el primer teniente Daniel V\u00e1zquez, regresando a San Juli\u00e1n el 22\/05\/1982.<\/p>\n<p>Continu\u00f3 su actividad operativa con misiones lanzadas el 22\/05\/1982 (primer teniente Oscar Cuello) y 24\/05\/1982 (teniente Daniel M\u00e9ndez), cumpliendo la OF1228 como \u201cHalc\u00f3n 3\u201d para atacar barcos en la Bah\u00eda de San Carlos con tres bombas de 250 kg. ; pero regres\u00f3 a tierra firme despu\u00e9s de repostar combustible y no lograr establecer contacto con el enemigo, aterrizando a las 12:45 horas.<\/p>\n<p>El 28\/05\/1982 el teniente Daniel Paredi lo vol\u00f3 como \u201cChispa 3\u201d cumplimentando la OF1259 para atacar barcos en la zona de Pradera del Ganso, pero no pudo localizarlos por condiciones clim\u00e1ticas muy marginales; Confirmando los resultados del ataque y teniendo una fuerte y densa defensa antia\u00e9rea, aterriz\u00f3 en San Juli\u00e1n a las 6:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p>El 09\/06\/1982, como numeral de la escuadrilla \u201cCobra\u201d (alferez Gerardo Isaac) y cumpliendo la\u00a0 OF1303, lanz\u00f3 su \u00faltima salida de combate en tiempos de guerra intentando atacar nuevamente en el \u00e1rea de Bahia Agradable (Pleasant Bay); pero regres\u00f3 debido a problemas de reabastecimiento de combustible.<\/p>\n<p>El 18\/06\/1982 realiz\u00f3 un vuelo local de 01:30 horas (capit\u00e1n Atilio Zattara) y finalmente se repliega a Mendoza con el resto del escuadron el 21\/06\/1982 (alferez Carlos Codrington), reabasteciendo en el aire sobre Neuqu\u00e9n.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_50820\" originalmente desplegados en San Juli\u00e1n regresaron a su base de operaciones&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Tiempo de posguerra<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>En 1983, su actividad de vuelo en la IV Brigada era extenuante, por decir lo menos, despu\u00e9s de que las limitaciones financieras, t\u00e9cnicas y log\u00edsticas comenzaron a convertirse en algo com\u00fan.<\/p>\n<p>Pero, adem\u00e1s de los rutinarios vuelos de entrenamiento, nuestro protagonista estuvo destinado al ejercicio \u201cGalaxia II\u201d entre el 15\/09\/1983 y el 15\/10\/1983 en R\u00edo Gallegos (Santa Cruz).<\/p>\n<figure Grupo 5 de Caza en su nueva base de operaciones en Villa Reynolds (San Luis).<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de la escasez de presupuesto, volvi\u00f3 a participar en los ejercicios \u201cGalaxia III\u201d (R\u00edo Gallegos, 15\/02 al 15\/03\/1984) y \u201cOri\u00f3n\u201d (Comodoro Rivadavia, 15\/09\/1988).<\/p>\n<p>El 14\/06\/1985 regres\u00f3 a ARMACUAR para una importante remodelaci\u00f3n que deb\u00eda concluir dos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, cuando el proyecto \u201cHalcon I\u201d reemplaz\u00f3 sus dos ca\u00f1ones Colt de 20 mm por dos DEFA 553A-4 de 30 mm, aumentando su potencia de fuego estructural dos veces (04\/1988 y 04\/1993) y nuevamente en 1995 tras el accidente del C-321 donde muri\u00f3 el primer teniente Mario Bordagaray\u00a0 (ver Skyhawks Illustrated #12505: Un veterano del controversial ataque al HMS \u201cInvincible\u201d), y en 1997, esta vez debido al accidente del C-324.<\/p>\n<p>El propio C-322 tuvo problemas estructurales en las alas en 1991 y se llev\u00f3 a cabo un an\u00e1lisis t\u00e9cnico y perdi\u00f3 sus sistemas IFF y radioalt\u00edmetro debido a la falta de repuestos, en 1997.<\/p>\n<p>Aunque no se han encontrado pruebas de su participaci\u00f3n en los numerosos ejercicios realizados entre 1989 y 1995, nuestro avi\u00f3n y cuatro Skyhawk m\u00e1s participaron en el desfile a\u00e9reo del 85 Aniversario de la Fuerza Aerea Argentina sobre El Palomar (Buenos Aires) el 12\/08\/1997.<\/p>\n<p>Previendo un merecido retiro, la actividad a\u00e9rea disminuy\u00f3 y lleg\u00f3 a su fin el 15\/12\/1998, cuando realiz\u00f3 su \u00faltimo vuelo operativo.<\/p>\n<p>Luego de participar en la ceremonia de despedida de los A-4P y A-4C en Villa Reynolds el 15\/03\/1999, dos semanas despu\u00e9s realiz\u00f3 su \u00faltimo y definitivo vuelo entre Villa Reynolds y Mor\u00f3n (Buenos Aires), su lugar de descanso definitivo en el Museo Nacional de Aeronautica (MNA).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Variantes:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A4D-2N<\/strong>
