Con una fuerte posici\u00f3n de marca en Escandinavia, SAS ofrece un interesante potencial de crecimiento a Air France-KLM en el norte de Europa.<\/p>\n<p>Air France-KLM (miembro de la alianza SkyTeam) est\u00e1 invirtiendo 144,5 millones de d\u00f3lares como parte de un joint venture creado de propio para rescatar a SAS, que se ha estado reestructurando bajo la protecci\u00f3n del Cap\u00edtulo 11 de Estados Unidos. Fundada en 1946 con la uni\u00f3n de varias aerol\u00edneas de Dinamarca, Suecia y Noruega, de alli su nombre Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), que acabaron convirti\u00e9ndose en consorcio estatal tripartito en 1951, y con los a\u00f1os se transformar\u00eda en una de las compa\u00f1\u00edas a\u00e9reas de mayor prestigio de Europa.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>\u00bfPero que pas\u00f3 con SAS?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Del prestigio y el gamour de los a\u00f1os dorados de la aviaci\u00f3n comercial no se vive eternamente. La llegada de las lowcost a Escandinavia fueron minando a SAS, que perdi\u00f3 cuota de mercado. SkyTeam ha tenido pocas oportunidades de asociaci\u00f3n en los pa\u00edses n\u00f3rdicos, especialmente teniendo en cuenta la membres\u00eda de larga data de Finnair con Oneworld.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Movimientos de consolidaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La entrada de Air France-KLM en SAS se produce en medio de un per\u00edodo de cierta fluidez entre las alianzas y asociaciones dentro de Europa, a medida que se desarrollan los movimientos de consolidaci\u00f3n de los tres grandes grupos e compa\u00f1\u00edas.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_51051\" Puppio).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Una de las razones por las que un movimiento sobre la portuguesa TAP puede ser atractivo para Air France-KLM es porque ITA y Air Europa, est\u00e1n a punto de abandonar SkyTeam en virtud de sus respectivas adquisiciones.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, los retos que tiene IAG a la hora de estructurar un acuerdo que tanto ella como los reguladores europeos de la competencia pudieran aceptar para Air Europa y los informes que surgieron el mes pasado sobre el descontento italiano por el progreso de la Comisi\u00f3n en la aprobaci\u00f3n de la decisi\u00f3n de Lufthansa de adquirir ITA ilustran que las finalizaciones de los procesos de fusi\u00f3n no pueden darse por sentados autom\u00e1ticamente.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien la estructuraci\u00f3n inicial de los acuerdos como participaciones minoritarias te\u00f3ricamente facilita el proceso regulatorio (IAG ya tiene una participaci\u00f3n del 20% en Air Europa), el valor de dichas inversiones se ve afectado \/>\n<h3><strong>El futuro pr\u00f3ximo<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Queda por ver si Air France-KLM ser\u00e1 quien la reflote a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airfleets.es\/flottecie\/SAS%20Scandinavian%20Airlines.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SAS<\/a>, qued\u00e1ndose con una quinta parte de la n\u00f3rdica, convirti\u00e9ndose en su socio industrial y reforzando la presencia franco-holandesa en el mercado a\u00e9reo del continente.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien Air France-KLM s\u00f3lo est\u00e1 adquiriendo una participaci\u00f3n minoritaria en SAS, existen disposiciones espec\u00edficas que proporcionar\u00edan una potencial senda para convertirse, en \u00faltima instancia. en un accionista mayoritario de la aerol\u00ednea.
