Evidentemente sab\u00eda lo que el mercado quer\u00eda, c\u00f3mo venderlo en todo el mundo, y c\u00f3mo sostener sus productos en el tiempo.<\/p>\n<p>Todos los Cessna monomotores parec\u00edan iguales, algunos un poquito m\u00e1s grandes, algunos un poquito m\u00e1s chicos, pero hab\u00eda diferencias de motores y performances que, hacia fines de los a\u00f1os cincuenta formaban una oferta de ocho monomotores (150, 172, 175, 180, 182, 210, Skylark y Skylane) m\u00e1s un bimotor de ala baja (310). La aviaci\u00f3n de transporte estaba cambiando de modo notable, y esto influy\u00f3 en la decisi\u00f3n de Cessna de lanzar, en 1960, un redise\u00f1o de su cartera de productos para la aviaci\u00f3n liviana.<\/p>\n<p>Siguiendo la pol\u00edtica de la empresa, todos los modelos nuevos siguieron pareciendo iguales entre s\u00ed, a pesar de los cambios introducidos. Lo m\u00e1s visible fue la adopci\u00f3n de un plano de cola vertical con flecha, lo que lo hac\u00eda similar al de los reactores, y la oferta de nuevos esquemas de colores y tapizados. La diferencia en peso entre el m\u00e1s pesado y el m\u00e1s liviano era de apenas 40 kg, un 5%.<\/p>\n<p>A partir de esta premisa, se defini\u00f3 la l\u00ednea de monomotores. Se ofrec\u00edan diversas variantes de pintura para cada modelo relativamente complejos, todos con tres colores. Desde 1937 exist\u00eda el Beechcraft 18, un bimotor que serv\u00eda para casi todo, incluyendo el uso ejecutivo. Era relativamente peque\u00f1o, pero para vuelos de este tipo era grande y, por lo tanto, de operaci\u00f3n cara.
