Pero en 1957 el mercado se abri\u00f3 para que compitieran empresas privadas, aunque manteniendo los precios oficiales, por lo que hubo que inventar un sistema de competencia en el que el precio no exist\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Transcontinental, la primera de las empresas privadas surgidas en esos a\u00f1os, enfrent\u00f3 varios desaf\u00edos de comunicaci\u00f3n. El primero fue presentarse ante un p\u00fablico que siempre hab\u00eda tenido una \u00fanica opci\u00f3n para volar, el segundo ganar a ese p\u00fablico con alg\u00fan argumento valedero y el tercero, al mismo tiempo que los dos anteriores, conseguir accionistas, porque su capital era limitado.<\/p>\n<p>En aquellos tiempos, la alternativa para esto eran los avisos en los diarios y la empresa comenz\u00f3 su campa\u00f1a mucho antes de estar preparada para volar, en septiembre de 1956, aprovechando la celebraci\u00f3n de la Semana de la Aeron\u00e1utica, una actividad de promoci\u00f3n de la conciencia aeron\u00e1utica que realizaba la Fuerza A\u00e9rea todos los a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Dec\u00eda lo que pod\u00eda decir, porque en ese momento hab\u00eda muchas decisiones no hab\u00edan sido tomadas, pero lo importante y llamativo era el anuncio de una nueva aerol\u00ednea que operar\u00eda servicios internacionales con aviones Super Constellation, agregando que adem\u00e1s c\u00f3modo y mejor atendido. Lo primero pod\u00eda ser cierto, porque la puntualidad era un punto flojo de la empresa estatal, la comodidad depend\u00eda del avi\u00f3n, porque el Curtiss, en el fondo, no era m\u00e1s que un carguero no presurizado de la Segunda Guerra Mundial convertido en avi\u00f3n de pasajeros, comparable con los DC-3\/4 de Aerol\u00edneas, pero inferior al Convair, que era presurizado. En cuanto a la atenci\u00f3n, all\u00ed la empresa trat\u00f3 de destacarse, sobre la base de que \u201cel pasajero es lo primero\u201d.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_53310\" evoluci\u00f3n de la cantidad de accionistas y los ingresos por ventas de pasajes, algo muy poco com\u00fan.
