Independientemente de las virtudes o defectos de los productos, hab\u00eda que luchar con una realidad pol\u00edtica internacional compleja, a lo que se sumaba la realidad de que este material estaba pensado para ser usado por operadores que ten\u00edan una cultura muy distinta de la occidental.<\/p>\n<p>Los aviones civiles sovi\u00e9ticos no se caracterizaban por tener performances sobresalientes, algo que nunca pareci\u00f3 preocupar demasiado a sus fabricantes. Para aproximarse a la situaci\u00f3n hay que pensar que el pa\u00eds, por mucho el m\u00e1s grande del mundo, ten\u00eda un sistema pol\u00edtico por el cual un \u00fanico organismo estatal \u2014Aeroflot\u2014 era responsable de la operaci\u00f3n de toda la aviaci\u00f3n civil de transporte y trabajo a\u00e9reo, sin competir con nadie fronteras adentro, por lo que pod\u00eda fijar sin problemas todos los par\u00e1metros de esta operaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La infraestructura era bastante primitiva, y la primera condici\u00f3n que deb\u00edan cumplir estos aviones era poder operar en ella, lo que daba lugar a particularidades llamativas. El Tu-154, por ejemplo, era un avi\u00f3n parecido al Boeing 727 con tres motores y unos 100.000 kilos de peso m\u00e1ximo pero mientras que el norteamericano ten\u00eda un tren de aterrizaje principal de cuatro ruedas, el sovi\u00e9tico ten\u00eda doce, lo que le permit\u00eda operar en campos de tierra mal preparados. Obs\u00e9rvese el tren de aterrizaje principal de doce ruedas (imagen Vito Cedrini).<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Los fabricantes de aviones eran varios, por lo que podr\u00eda pensarse que en ese sector hab\u00eda cierta competencia, pero el mercado estaba segmentado seg\u00fan las decisiones pol\u00edticas, que ordenaban a cada uno lo que deb\u00eda hacer. No era imaginable una contienda como la que hubo en occidente entre Boeing y Douglas.<\/p>\n<p>Otra caracter\u00edstica importante de todos los productos sovi\u00e9ticos fue que estaban dise\u00f1ados, en primer lugar, para satisfacer las necesidades del Ej\u00e9rcito Rojo, en segundo lugar las del brazo a\u00e9reo civil del Ej\u00e9rcito Rojo, que era Aeroflot y, en \u00faltimo t\u00e9rmino las de alg\u00fan cliente que pudiera aparecer. La econom\u00eda en la operaci\u00f3n no figuraba entre los requerimientos de estas organizaciones y los servicios de Aeroflot fuera de su pa\u00eds eran peque\u00f1os, lo que explica el poco inter\u00e9s por fabricar aviones de largo alcance o de fuselaje ancho comparables con los occidentales.<\/p>\n<p>La gesti\u00f3n comercial de los productos civiles, a partir de 1961, estuvo a cargo de una agencia estatal llamada Aviaexport, que,\u00a0 hay que reconocerlo, hizo muchas ventas, pero casi todas en pa\u00edses del Pacto de Varsovia, o relacionados pol\u00edticamente con la URSS. Para ampliar sus operaciones en otros mercados, este organismo, en los a\u00f1os setenta, logr\u00f3 los primeros certificados occidentales para algunas aeronaves sovi\u00e9ticos.<\/p>\n<p>En 1986 Aviaexport edit\u00f3 un vistoso folleto de 32 p\u00e1ginas que muestra las posibilidades que ofrec\u00eda su industria a sus eventuales clientes. Tambi\u00e9n dice que \u201canualmente enviamos en comisi\u00f3n de servicio al extranjero a m\u00e1s de mil especialistas para prestar ayuda a los compradores\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Un tema que tambi\u00e9n ocupa un espacio importante es el \u00e9xito de sus productos en los pa\u00edses en desarrollo, que explica diciendo que \u201clos aviones y helic\u00f3pteros sovi\u00e9ticos son ampliamente conocidos por su fiabilidad y sencillez de servicio y manteamiento\u2026 y nuestra t\u00e9cnica est\u00e1 bien adaptada a la explotaci\u00f3n en condiciones rigurosas\u201d. Adem\u00e1s \u201caceptamos con agrado las m\u00e1s diversas formas de colaboraci\u00f3n que respondan a los intereses econ\u00f3micos de los pa\u00edses en desarrollo\u2026 el comprador, como regla, tiene la posibilidad de pagarnos con sus propias mercanc\u00edas\u201d. El tema se cierra con la afirmaci\u00f3n de que \u201cnosotros nunca relacionamos nuestros suministros con g\u00e9nero alguno de condiciones que no tengan un car\u00e1cter
