En ese proceso se produjo un movimiento nacional a favor de la supervivencia de la otrora empresa estatal, cuyo lema m\u00e1s fuerte fue \u201cSalvemos a Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas\u201d que logr\u00f3 salvarla, pero el resto de los operadores pronto desaparecer\u00edan.<\/p>\n<p>2001 fue un a\u00f1o de crisis mundial para la aviaci\u00f3n y tambi\u00e9n fue un a\u00f1o de crisis pol\u00edtica y econ\u00f3mica para la Argentina. Los malos pron\u00f3sticos se convirtieron en una pesadilla luego de los atentados del 11 de septiembre, y los balances de las l\u00edneas a\u00e9reas se tornaron en color rojo sangre.<\/p>\n<p>Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas, controlada por los espa\u00f1oles a trav\u00e9s de la SEPI, hab\u00eda perdido el rumbo, y estaba en oferta al mejor postor. Espa\u00f1a quer\u00eda sac\u00e1rsela de encima, los gremios estaba movilizados, Argentina no ten\u00eda capital (ni estatal ni privado) para hacerse cargo de la compa\u00f1\u00eda y exist\u00eda la posibilidad cierta de que si no aparec\u00eda un comprador la empresa desapareciera. Los servicios estaban en franca decadencia, y permanente se suprim\u00edan destinos.<\/p>\n<p>Pero la contrapartida de esta realidad era que Aerol\u00edneas todav\u00eda ten\u00eda un lugar destacado en el coraz\u00f3n de los argentinos, que se opon\u00edan un\u00e1nimemente al cierre de la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_55751\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-55751\" \/>\n<p>Aerol\u00edneas se salv\u00f3 \u2014o eso pareci\u00f3 haber ocurrido\u2014 el El 2 de octubre de 2001, cuando la SEPI, el ente espa\u00f1ol controlante, anunci\u00f3 que hab\u00eda adjudicado su participaci\u00f3n a Air Comet, una empresa considerada parte del grupo Marsans. Inmediatamente apareci\u00f3 algo de dinero y se empezaron a reinstalar los vuelos.<\/p>\n<p>Pero la crisis general no se solucion\u00f3, Argentina no se salv\u00f3, y los que viv\u00edan en ella tampoco. Entre ellos estaba LAPA que, tras acumular importantes p\u00e9rdidas, pidi\u00f3 su concurso de acreedores en mayo de 2001. Su deuda estaba en el entorno de los 130 millones de d\u00f3lares, ten\u00eda alrededor de 1.300 empleados y, en ese momento, cubr\u00eda el 50% del deprimido mercado dom\u00e9stico usando muchos de los aviones m\u00e1s modernos que hab\u00eda en el pa\u00eds. As\u00ed fue que en septiembre de 2002 se anunci\u00f3 la venta al grupo boliviano Aeroandina, controlador de Aerosur, a cambio de hacerse cargo de una deuda de 60 millones de pesos. La situaci\u00f3n de la empresa era grave, y la del pa\u00eds peor. El Ministerio de Trabajo dispuso una conciliaci\u00f3n obligatoria, pero el jueves la empresa anunci\u00f3 la cancelaci\u00f3n de todos sus vuelos por falta de combustible (Repsol YPF exig\u00eda el pago al contado para abastecer los aviones).<\/p>\n<p>En Aeroparque los trabajadores, que ya se sent\u00edan desocupados, se confund\u00edan con pasajeros furiosos por la interrupci\u00f3n de sus vacaciones. Hubo algunas asambleas en Aeroparque y manifestaciones en las oficinas de la empresa, que entonces estaban en la calle Pasco, pero sin plata, mucha planta, no hab\u00eda soluci\u00f3n posible.
