{"id":56197,"date":"2025-08-28T12:00:26","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T10:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/?p=56197"},"modified":"2025-06-29T13:42:32","modified_gmt":"2025-06-29T11:42:32","slug":"iberia-mentime-que-me-gusta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/iberia-mentime-que-me-gusta\/","title":{"rendered":"Iberia: Mentime que me gusta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La privatizaci\u00f3n de Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas, en 1990, fue un juego en el que el vendedor sab\u00eda que su comprador estaba en bancarrota y se trag\u00f3 todas sus mentiras, y hasta las celebr\u00f3. Despu\u00e9s vino la tarea de convencer a la opini\u00f3n p\u00fablica de las bondades del cambio y, entretanto, se fue demorando el pago y, como era de esperar, las promesas no se cumplieron.<\/p>\n<p>El consorcio ganador de la privatizaci\u00f3n prometi\u00f3 pagar 130 millones de d\u00f3lares al contado, 130 en 10 cuotas semestrales (con 5 a\u00f1os de gracia) y 2.010 millones en t\u00edtulos, cuyo precio era dif\u00edcil estimar, porque eran muy marginales. Adem\u00e1s hab\u00eda un compromiso de inversi\u00f3n por 684 millones de d\u00f3lares en cinco a\u00f1os. Como broche de oro, la empresa dijo que ganar\u00eda 100 millones su primer a\u00f1o de operaciones, algo que el ministro de Obras y Servicios P\u00fablicos Roberto Dromi defini\u00f3 como \u201cmuy ambicioso\u201d,<\/p>\n<p>Pero cuando lleg\u00f3 el momento de hacer el primer desembolso, el 20 de agosto de 1990, el comprador no ten\u00eda el dinero necesario para hacerlo, y ning\u00fan banco estuvo dispuesto a adelant\u00e1rselo sin que se constituyeran garant\u00edas reales. Eso podr\u00eda conseguirse hipotecando aviones de Iberia o de Aerol\u00edneas, pero de los primeros no se habl\u00f3 y el Estado Argentino se negaba a entregar los suyos sin haber cobrado previamente.<\/p>\n<p>Se dio un plazo adicional hasta el 25 de septiembre, que no se cumpli\u00f3, y sigui\u00f3 una contradanza de ofertas y rechazos de diversos medios de pago que termin\u00f3 con la aceptaci\u00f3n de una propuesta que se hizo el 21 de octubre, con un desembolso inferior al convenido. Los tironeos siguieron hasta fines de 1991, cuando se firm\u00f3 un acuerdo m\u00e1s o menos definitivo. A esa fecha, la nueva empresa a\u00fan no se hab\u00eda constituido.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Independientemente de la situaci\u00f3n con los pagos, quiz\u00e1s como medio de presi\u00f3n, los espa\u00f1oles publicaron, el 9 de octubre de 1990, un suplemento especial en los diarios de Buenos Aires anunciando sus planes para el futuro. El documento estaba firmado por Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas SA y lo llamativo es que a esa fecha la empresa no exist\u00eda, porque se constituy\u00f3 formalmente diez d\u00edas despu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>En el interior del suplemento, bajo la promesa de \u201cun destino de excelencia\u201d se anuncia el nacimiento de una \u201cnueva Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas\u201d y se precisan varios cambios:<\/p>\n<p>El primero es una senda de inversiones, desarrollo y potencia empresaria que reportar\u00e1 al Estado un ingreso de casi 2.300 millones por la venta. En realidad, nunca se supo cu\u00e1nto se pag\u00f3 por Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas, y en ese momento el regateo era la ley. La realidad era que hab\u00eda seis aviones ya encargados por Pescarmona para Austral que finalmente fueron a la flota de Aerol\u00edneas, pero salvo \u00e9stos, todos los aviones que incorpor\u00f3 Aerol\u00edneas durante la gesti\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola (Iberia, SEPI y Marsans) fueron usados, algunos muy usados.<\/p>\n<p>El broche final ser\u00edan inversiones por 53 millones de d\u00f3lares en repuestos y motores y 75 millones para inform\u00e1tica, comunicaciones, hoteler\u00eda e infraestructura b\u00e1sica. En rigor Aerol\u00edneas suspendi\u00f3 destinos propios (Par\u00eds, Londres, Frankfurt) que se convirtieron en conexiones de Iberia desde Madrid y no hubo ning\u00fan incremento de los servicios europeos de la empresa argentina.<\/p>\n<p>Otro beneficio ser\u00eda que se cambiar\u00e1n subsidios por impuestos. Seg\u00fan Iberia, en los \u00faltimos 5 a\u00f1os, el Estado Nacional hab\u00eda otorgado subsidios a Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas por un monto promedio de casi 43 millones de d\u00f3lares anuales y no hab\u00eda cobrado impuestos, pero a partir de su privatizaci\u00f3n la empresa revertir\u00eda la ecuaci\u00f3n, no recibiendo subsidio alguno y tributando unos 23 millones de d\u00f3lares por a\u00f1o.
