Por ello, el proyecto <b>I.A. 44 Super DL<\/b> que \u00e9l y su equipo concibieron entre 1953 y 1954 alcanzar\u00eda las etapas productiva y operativa en la segunda mitad de la d\u00e9cada de 1950, cerrando as\u00ed el camino a la adquisici\u00f3n del B45 Mentor de origen norteamericano. El proyecto encarnaba la evoluci\u00f3n del I.Ae.22 DL dado que manten\u00eda sus materiales y m\u00e9todos de construcci\u00f3n en madera y tela; aunque los aplicaba a un dise\u00f1o aerodin\u00e1mico m\u00e1s moderno. De fuselaje semimonocasco construido en madera compensada y dotado de un tren de aterrizaje triciclo retr\u00e1ctil, el Super DL habr\u00eda estado dotado de un motor radial I.A.R.-19CR El Indio de 650 hp y h\u00e9lice tripala. <\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/ia-44-SUPER-DL-2.png?w=1140\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">I.A.44 Super DL con marcas de la EAM de fines de la d\u00e9cada de 1950 (Ilustraci\u00f3n: Christian \u201cBilly\u201d Zambruno).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Destinado a reemplazar a su predecesor y al Prentice T.1 de origen brit\u00e1nico, este biplaza en t\u00e1ndem habr\u00eda operado desde la Escuela de Aviaci\u00f3n Militar de C\u00f3rdoba (curso de aviadores militares), la II Brigada A\u00e9rea de Paran\u00e1 (observaci\u00f3n y apoyo aeroterrestre) y I Brigada A\u00e9rea de El Palomar (\u00abrefresher training\u00bb para aviadores militares destinados en puestos administrativos en la capital argentina). Por tratarse de un modelo construido en madera, sin embargo, su vida \u00fatil no habr\u00eda excedido los 10 a\u00f1os y, a mediados de la d\u00e9cada de 1960, deber\u00eda haber sido reemplazado por un nuevo entrenador avanzado de construcci\u00f3n met\u00e1lica. N\u00f3tese que sus competidores contempor\u00e1neos, el CA-25 Winjeel australiano, el Prentice T.1 brit\u00e1nico y el T-34 Mentor norteamericano, fueron precisamente de construcci\u00f3n met\u00e1lica y sobrevivieron m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la d\u00e9cada de 1970. <\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ChristianZambrunoarteaeronautico\" target=\"_blank\">Christian \u00abBilly\u00bb Zambruno<\/a><\/strong><\/b> naci\u00f3 en Buenos Aires en 1987 y, al momento de participar en este proyecto, era estudiante de dise\u00f1o gr\u00e1fico. A muy temprana edad, descubri\u00f3 que aviones y dibujo eran sus dos principales pasiones, motivo por el cual fusion\u00f3 ambos en bocetos y montajes como los que ilustran este reportaje.
