FIDAE 2026<\/span> fue el regreso del <span class=\"StrongEmphasis\">Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II<\/span>, el caza de quinta generaci\u00f3n desarrollado por Estados Unidos, que participo en esta edici\u00f3n como parte del <em>demo team<\/em> de la <span class=\"StrongEmphasis\">United States Air Force<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Textbody\"><span lang=\"ES-CL\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"ES-CL\">Si bien esta fue la segunda oportunidad en que aviones F-35A Lightning II son presentados en FIDAE, fue la primera vez que los espectadores pudieron observar sus capacidades de velocidad y maniobrabilidad ya que, en su primera visita, en 2018, los dos aparatos participantes permanecieron \u00fanicamente en exhibici\u00f3n est\u00e1tica durante toda la unidad encargada de representar a la fuerza a\u00e9rea estadounidense en exhibiciones a\u00e9reas y eventos aeron\u00e1uticos alrededor del mundo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Textbody\"><span lang=\"ES-CL\">El objetivo de estas presentaciones es mostrar las capacidades de maniobra, potencia y control del avi\u00f3n, adem\u00e1s de acercar al p\u00fablico a una de las aeronaves de combate lang=\"ES-CL\">El equipo est\u00e1 compuesto por un grupo reducido de especialistas que incluye al piloto demostrador y a un contingente de t\u00e9cnicos y personal de apoyo responsables del mantenimiento y operaci\u00f3n de la aeronave durante las distintas presentaciones. A diferencia de otros equipos acrob\u00e1ticos militares, las unidades de demostraci\u00f3n a\u00e9rea de la USAF como ya hemos visto varias veces con el F-22 Raptor, utilizan aeronaves plenamente operativas de la flota de combate de la USAF, sin modificaciones especiales ni esquemas de pintura distintivos.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Las aeronaves participantes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"Textbody\"><span lang=\"ES-CL\">En este caso, los F-35A pertenecen al <span class=\"StrongEmphasis\">388th Fighter Wing<\/span> de la <span class=\"StrongEmphasis\">United States Air Force<\/span>, unidad basada en <span class=\"StrongEmphasis\">Hill Air Force Base<\/span>, en el estado de Utah. Esta ala fue la primera unidad operativa en declarar capacidad inicial de combate con el F-35A en 2016 y actualmente opera varios escuadrones equipados con este modelo.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure lang=\"ES-CL\">Para las giras de demostraci\u00f3n, el equipo despliega normalmente dos aeronaves: una destinada a realizar la exhibici\u00f3n a\u00e9rea y otra como respaldo log\u00edstico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Textbody\"><span lang=\"ES-CL\">El vuelo de traslado desde Estados Unidos en si ya fue un hito noticioso ya que el 4 de abril, en ruta hacia F<span class=\"StrongEmphasis\">IDAE 2026, <\/span>las fuerzas a\u00e9reas de Estados Unidos y Chile realizaron por primera vez un reabastecimiento en vuelo de dos <span class=\"StrongEmphasis\">Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II<\/span> por parte de un KC-135 de la <span class=\"StrongEmphasis\">Fuerza A\u00e9rea de Chile<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Textbody\"><span lang=\"ES-CL\">La misi\u00f3n, que incluy\u00f3 m\u00faltiples reabastecimientos desde aeronaves estadounidenses y chilenas, y demostr\u00f3 un alto nivel de interoperabilidad y coordinaci\u00f3n entre ambas fuerzas class=\"Textbody\"><span lang=\"ES-CL\">Tanto pilotos como tripulaciones destacaron la fluidez de la operaci\u00f3n, pese a tratarse de la primera experiencia conjunta de este tipo con el F-35. El ejercicio fue considerado un hito en la cooperaci\u00f3n bilateral, reforzando la confianza mutua y la capacidad de ejecutar operaciones combinadas en la regi\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>La tripulaci\u00f3n y su equipo<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"Textbody\" style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\"><span lang=\"ES-CL\">A pesar de que el trabajo del equipo de apoyo es fundamental, la figura que naturalmente concentra la atenci\u00f3n es el piloto de demostraciones. En esta temporada, el encargado es el mayor <span class=\"StrongEmphasis\">Sean Loughlin<\/span>, conocido por su indicativo de llamada \u201cRambo\u201d. Este propulsor puede generar cerca de 43.000 libras de empuje con postcombusti\u00f3n, lo que, sumado a una carga parcial de combustible \u2014y no las m\u00e1s de 18.000 libras que puede transportar internamente\u2014 permite al avi\u00f3n realizar ascensos muy pronunciados inmediatamente despu\u00e9s del despegue y mantener altos niveles de energ\u00eda durante maniobras
