econ\u00f3mica, para reducir as\u00ed la brecha econ\u00f3mica que existe entre los interceptores caros y drones y misiles baratos que deben derribar los primeros.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El anuncio, realizado durante el Sal\u00f3n Aeron\u00e1utico de Farnborough 2026 en el Reino Unido, se produce en un momento en que Estados Unidos busca reducir su dependencia de interceptores costosos para combatir municiones de producci\u00f3n masiva, una situaci\u00f3n que ha sido objeto de un creciente escrutinio a medida que las fuerzas estadounidenses han agotado las limitadas reservas de interceptores del pa\u00eds para combatir los drones iran\u00edes relativamente econ\u00f3micos durante la Operaci\u00f3n Furia \u00c9pica.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El PAC-3 Adapted Capability Effector (ACE) <strong>costar\u00e1 menos<\/strong> de la mitad que un interceptor PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE), seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 la empresa, y puede utilizarse con equipos existentes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los interceptores PAC-3 actuales tienen un costo estimado de 5,3 millones de d\u00f3lares (seg\u00fan el \u00faltimo presupuesto propuesto por el US Army para el a\u00f1o fiscal 2027), mucho m\u00e1s que el precio t\u00edpico de 35.000 d\u00f3lares de un dron iran\u00ed Shahed.\u00a0<\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Seg\u00fan las estimaciones de Lockheed Martin, un solo misil PAC-3 ACE costar\u00eda alrededor de 2,5 millones de d\u00f3lares. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por su parte, los responsables de la log\u00edstica norteamericana advierten que el mayor uso de interceptores por parte del pa\u00eds pone presi\u00f3n sobre los stocks en reserva, y no dan garant\u00edas si podr\u00e1n reabastecerse con la suficiente rapidez para sostener una campa\u00f1a prolongada en Medio Oriente y (foto: US Army).<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las fuerzas estadounidenses en Oriente Medio han dependido en gran medida del sistema Patriot, que utiliza radar para detectar y rastrear una amenaza entrante, calcular su trayectoria y guiar un interceptor hacia un punto de colisi\u00f3n previsto, mediante un m\u00e9todo de impacto directo. La idea del nuevo misil como vector complementario es especialmente relevante, ya que indica que el PAC-3 MSE se reservar\u00eda para las amenazas m\u00e1s complejas o de alto riesgo, mientras que el PAC-3 ACE puede utilizarse para cualquier otra situaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los sistemas Patriot se han convertido en un elemento fundamental de la defensa de Ucrania contra Rusia, y ante el agotamiento de los misiles de Kiev, el pa\u00eds solicit\u00f3 m\u00e1s interceptores antes de unirse a otras nueve naciones para crear Freyja, una alternativa al Patriot, en medio de una escasez mundial de interceptores antibal\u00edsticos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lockheed Martin planea trabajar con socios industriales estadounidenses y europeos en el desarrollo y la producci\u00f3n, con el objetivo de ampliar la capacidad de fabricaci\u00f3n y fortalecer la resiliencia de la base industrial de defensa transatl\u00e1ntica.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>El PAC-3 ACE no solo destaca por su ahorro, sino por su versatilidad<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El PAC-3 ACE est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para combatir amenazas de propulsi\u00f3n a\u00e9rea (sistemas de armas que dependen del ox\u00edgeno para su funcionamiento), misiles de crucero y misiles bal\u00edsticos de corto y medio alcance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lockheed Martin afirm\u00f3 que el nuevo interceptor seguir\u00e1 siendo compatible con el sistema de armas Patriot y el Sistema Integrado de Comando de Batalla, lo que permite a la compa\u00f1\u00eda acelerar el desarrollo, un esfuerzo que, seg\u00fan indica, se coordinar\u00e1 conjuntamente con socios estadounidenses y europeos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Actualmente, Estados Unidos depende de una red de defensa antimisiles multicapa que incluye el sistema Patriot, el Sistema de Combate Aegis de la Armada (armado con interceptores SM-3 y SM-6), y el Sistema de Defensa Terminal de \u00c1rea de Gran Altitud (THAAD).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En abril, Lockheed Martin anunci\u00f3 que la Armada se estaba preparando para desplegar interceptores PAC-3 MSE en el mar para su uso en el sistema Aegis, que utiliza radares avanzados para identificar, rastrear y guiar misiles.
