Probablemente nunca como en esos d\u00edas la empresa haya estado tan en la punta de la tecnolog\u00eda, porque el cambio del pist\u00f3n a la turbina fue uno de los avances m\u00e1s notables de los aviones de pasajeros de la historia, y la empresa argentina estuvo en ese cambio desde la primera hora.<\/p>\n<p>Evidentemente la presentaci\u00f3n de la nueva flota dio lugar a una importante campa\u00f1a publicitaria, que busc\u00f3 marcar diferencias con todos sus competidores, internacionales y dom\u00e9sticos. Las nuevas m\u00e1quinas lo justificaban, y todas las compa\u00f1\u00edas que pon\u00edan reactores en servicio en esos a\u00f1os actuaron de modo similar.<\/p>\n<p>Un viaje a Europa en DC-7C duraba algo m\u00e1s de veinticuatro horas (en los DC-6 de Aerol\u00edneas era m\u00e1s largo), mientras que el Comet hac\u00eda el trayecto en unas quince horas reales de vuelo, con tres escalas intermedias.<\/p>\n<p>El aviso que traemos hoy es t\u00e9cnicamente raro, porque es la suma una p\u00e1gina en color y otra en blanco y negro. Si bien el lector de las revistas (se public\u00f3 en varios medios) inevitablemente tendr\u00eda que verlos juntos, parece que no tienen nada que ver entre s\u00ed, hasta que uno se da cuenta de que son avisos de la misma empresa. Sea lo que sea, as\u00ed se public\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Lo importante es la fecha. Se trata del n\u00famero de mayo de 1959 de la revista <em>Vea y Lea<\/em>, una revista de un g\u00e9nero de informaci\u00f3n hoy desaparecido, pero que entonces era muy popular. Tambi\u00e9n se repiti\u00f3 en el mismo mes en <em>Selecciones del Reader\u2019s Digest<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Este aviso anuncia el lanzamiento de la mayor novedad del transporte a\u00e9reo hasta esa fecha. Deber\u00eda ser sensacional, pero parece una naturaleza muerta, y es m\u00e1s que confuso.
