No es una idea errada, aunque hay otro viej\u00edsimo dicho aeron\u00e1utico que sostiene que el mejor modo de pasar una tormenta es en el bar del aeropuerto. <\/p>\n<p>A mediados de 2001 Aerol\u00edneas\/Austral parec\u00eda estar en medio de una tormenta que la llevaba a la desaparici\u00f3n sin escalas. Iberia primero, American Airlines despu\u00e9s y, finalmente, la SEPI, no hab\u00edan sabido qu\u00e9 hacer con la empresa y la hab\u00edan degradado a niveles inimaginables a\u00f1os antes, cuando Menem anunciaba alegremente la privatizaci\u00f3n como herramienta para el progreso del pa\u00eds. <\/p>\n<p>La SEPI, Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales, hab\u00eda heredado la compa\u00f1\u00eda y ten\u00eda la misi\u00f3n pol\u00edtica de venderla, era un ente liquidador de activos indeseados del Reino de Espa\u00f1a, y nadie dudaba de cu\u00e1l era su objetivo. La \u00fanica alternativa era que deb\u00eda hacerlo con buenos modales. <\/p>\n<p>El organismo trat\u00f3 de negociar un \u201cplan director\u201d, que implicaba much\u00edsimos despidos, porque consideraba que \u00e9se era el \u00fanico modo de poder encontrar alg\u00fan interesado en la compa\u00f1\u00eda. Los gremios se opusieron f\u00e9rreamente al principio, un poco menos despu\u00e9s, y finalmente todos menos los t\u00e9cnicos nucleados en APTA firmaron su acuerdo. Cosas del sindicalismo y la pol\u00edtica. <\/p>\n<p>El gobierno argentino se desentendi\u00f3 del asunto y dej\u00f3 hacer y deshacer a los espa\u00f1oles. SEPI hizo algo parecido a un concurso de ofertas, del que todav\u00eda hoy no est\u00e1 todo claro, y en esto estaban las cosas cuando ocurri\u00f3 el atentado a las torres gemelas. <\/p>\n<p>Unos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s, el 2 de octubre de 2001, los espa\u00f1oles anunciaron que hab\u00edan vendido su participaci\u00f3n en las empresas argentinas a Air Comet, una empresa del grupo Marsans, cuyas cabezas visibles eran Gonzalo Pascual Arias, Gerardo D\u00edaz Ferr\u00e1n y Antonio Mata Ramayo. <\/p>\n<p>La primera voz que se escuch\u00f3 del gobierno argentino fue la de la ministra de trabajo Patricia Bullrich, que se reuni\u00f3 con los gremios y les inform\u00f3 que estaba garantizada la continuidad de los puestos de trabajos por dos a\u00f1os, y que el comprador, que har\u00eda un aporte de capital de cincuenta millones de d\u00f3lares y recuperar\u00eda la operatividad de las empresas. <\/p>\n<p>Nadie vio el contrato de transferencia, no se inform\u00f3 sobre el precio pagado, y todo fue muy confuso. Hubo que esperar hasta 2006 para que se publicara el primer Informe de fiscalizaci\u00f3n del Tribunal de Cuentas espa\u00f1ol, donde se confirm\u00f3 que la venta se hab\u00eda realizado por un d\u00f3lar norteamericano, que la SEPI hab\u00eda entregado a Air Comet unos setecientos millones de d\u00f3lares para pagar deudas y recuperar la empresa y que Marsans no hab\u00eda puesto un centavo en la operaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n<p>Las cuestiones penales tardaron algo m\u00e1s en conocerse. <\/p>\n<p>El aviso que hoy mostramos fue publicado en varios medios y circul\u00f3 como folleto de la empresa durante la primavera de 2001, cuando no se sab\u00eda nada concreto de la operaci\u00f3n de SEPI y Marsans, y el sentimiento de todos era de una gran esperanza, en medio de una inmensa crisis argentina y mundial. <\/p>\n<p>La imagen muestra, precisamente, ese agujero que se supone que buscan los pilotos para salir de las tormentas, y el texto es un mensaje estudiado para alentar esa esperanza.  <\/p>\n<p>Con el tiempo supimos que todo era mentira.
