Sus Douglas DC-4 llegaron a nuestro pa\u00eds en enero de 1947 y, a pesar de que su destino final, Copenhague, no parec\u00eda muy atractivo, merced a una siempre din\u00e1mica oferta de conexiones se mantuvo constantemente vigente.  <\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 354px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/escandinavos2.jpg?w=1140\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aviso de SAS celebrando sus primeros tres a\u00f1os en la Argentina, publicado en <em>La Prensa<\/em> del 15 de enero de 1950 (imagen: archivo Pablo Luciano Potenze).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Sus aviones se modernizaron cuando fue necesario, y as\u00ed conocimos Douglas DC-6B, DC-7C, DC-8 y DC-10. Nunca actu\u00f3 de modo rupturista, nunca hizo ofertas locas. Siempre fue una empresa estable, por lo menos a los ojos del pasajero argentino.  <\/p>\n<p>A principios de los a\u00f1os ochenta, cuando la desregulaci\u00f3n daba sus primeros pasos en el mundo, los vuelos a la Argentina dejaron de interesarle, pero tampoco hizo nada hasta que encontr\u00f3 un buen pretexto para retirarse, que fue la guerra de Malvinas, en 1982.  <\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de producido el desembarco argentino, el 28 de mayo, nuestro pa\u00eds denunci\u00f3 sus convenios bilaterales de transporte a\u00e9reo con Gran Breta\u00f1a, Holanda, Alemania y Francia bas\u00e1ndose en las medidas econ\u00f3micas adoptadas por la Comunidad Europea, que se aline\u00f3 con los ingleses. Esto signific\u00f3 la supresi\u00f3n de los vuelos a Londres (en realidad interrumpidos desde el mismo 2 de abril), Par\u00eds, Frankfurt y Nueva Zelandia por parte de Aerol\u00edneas y las empresas de los pa\u00edses involucrados. No hubo ninguna acci\u00f3n diplom\u00e1tica referida a Escandinavia, pero SAS, unilateralmente, aprovech\u00f3 el conflicto para dejar una ruta que no le interesaba.  <\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed fue que cuando, a partir de noviembre, se reanudaron los vuelos a Francia y Alemania, no hubo ninguna noticia del regreso de SAS. Simplemente la ruta muri\u00f3.  <\/p>\n<p>Pero un d\u00eda un argentino viaj\u00f3 a Europa para venderle un tranv\u00eda a SAS, y se lo vendi\u00f3. Fue Rodolfo Terragno, en 1988, que propuso a los escandinavos que se hicieran cargo del 40% de Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas. Desconfiaron bastante, pero entraron en el juego.  <\/p>\n<p>Y como prueba de buena voluntad, reiniciaron los servicios a Buenos Aires. Pero hab\u00eda que salir de un modo m\u00e1s o menos elegante.  <\/p>\n<p>Y lo cierto es que muy elegante no fue, porque para los pocos pasajeros que realmente quer\u00edan viajar a Escandinavia hacer transbordo en Brasil era inc\u00f3modo, y los que quer\u00edan ir a cualquier otro lugar de Europa les significaba un transbordo adicional, pero la asociaci\u00f3n con Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas resultaba simp\u00e1tica.  <\/p>\n<p>El aviso que mostramos hoy fue publicado en los diarios de Buenos Aires del 8 de febrero de 1989.
