Puppio Guzm\u00e1n (Zaragoza, Espa\u00f1a).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Born in Buenos Aires in 1974, Fernando was quite early to evince and develop his aviation enthusiasm. He started his editorial career in 1996, when he joined the staff of \u201cPista 18\u201d (the magazine), where he was a correspondent for many of its sections.<\/p>\n<p>He was also a contributor to many other publications, such as \u201cAir Forces Monthly\u201d (United Kingdom), \u201cRevista de Aeron\u00e1utica y Astron\u00e1utica\u201d (Spain) and \u201cModel Show\u201d (Argentina). He has also staffed a variety of plastic modelling and aviation cable television shows. A devoted enthusiast of aircraft photography, he has visited a large number of aviation museums, both private and public, military and civilian, around the world. He is also a member of the Spanish \u201cAire\u201d Association.<\/p>\n<p>As Gaceta Aeron\u00e1utica\u2019s chief executive, financial and operating officer, Fernando is responsible for a variety of duties, including financial management, editorial development, correspondent and contributor recruitment and coordination and is also the managing editor for the Spanish version of the site.<\/p>\n<h3>Pablo Luciano Potenze, Senior Correspondent &#8211; ARGENTINA<\/h3>\n<figure style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/potenze3.jpg?w=1140\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pablo Luciano Potenze (Buenos Aires, Argentina).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Pablo was born in Buenos Aires in 1947, completed high school in the prestigious \u201cColegio Nacional de Buenos Aires\u201d (Buenos Aires National High School) and graduated as an architect from Buenos Aires University.<\/p>\n<p>He was professor of commercial air transport history and airport design at \u201cUniversidad Argentina de la Empresa\u201d (1986-2002) and led a variety of courses, seminars and conferences at \u201cPalermo\u201d and \u201cPatagonia San Juan Bosco\u201d universities, the \u201cCIPE\u201d training centre in Ezeiza, the Latin American Aeronautical Law Association, the Argentine Army Technical College, \u201cAerofila\u201d (an aviation stamp collectors expo), the Argentine National Aviation Library, the Aeronautical Centre for Strategic Studies, the Aviation and Astronautics Writers Society, etc.<\/p>\n<p>He authored two respected commercial air transport books, \u201cArgentine commercial air transport 1945-1980\u201d (Ediciones El Cronista Comercial, Buenos Aires, 1987) and \u201cA history of commercial air transport\u201c (ALADA\/UADE, Buenos Aires, 1997), and has written for a large list of specialist magazines and web sites, including \u201cAerodeportes\u201d, \u201cAeroespacio\u201d, AeropuertosArg.com, \u201cAlas\u201d, \u201cAlturas\u201d, \u201cEl Mensajero Tur\u00edstico\u201d, \u201cGu\u00eda Internacional de Tr\u00e1fico\u201d, \u201cLima V\u00edctor\u201d, National Development, \u201cNegocios Aeroportuarios\u201d, \u201cOpciones\u201d, \u201cPista 18\u201d, \u201cTodo es historia\u201d, Airline Review and Airways.<\/p>\n<p>In Gaceta Aeron\u00e1utica, Pablo is the leading commercial air transport analyst and editor and he\u2019s also the sole provider of \u201cBetween the lines\u201d, a special section providing insight on commercial air transport history through their graphic advertising campaigns.<\/p>\n<h3>Carlos Ay, Senior Correspondent \u2013 CHILE<\/h3>\n<figure style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-102\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/staff-cay.jpg?resize=250%2C235\" width=\"250\" height=\"235\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Carlos Ay (Santiago de Chile).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in March 1962, Carlos developed his interest in aerospace while following his father\u2019s career as an engineering officer with the Argentine Air Force. After residing in several air force bases in Argentina and abroad, at the age of 17 he created his first aviation bulletin, \u201cAeronoticias Mensuales\u201d (Monthly Air News, one edition, 1979).<\/p>\n<p>After a short stint at the C\u00f3rdoba air force academy, he started writing more or less regularly for a number of national and international publications such as \u201cModelos &amp; Colecciones\u201d, \u201cMaster en Modelismo\u201d, \u201cAviaci\u00f3n Argentina\u201d and \u201cAlas de Am\u00e9rica y el Mundo\u201d (Argentina), \u201cJP4 Mensile di Aeron\u00e1utica\u201d (Italy), \u201cAir Forces Monthly\u201d and \u201cAir International\u201d (United Kingdom), \u201cDefence &amp; Foreign Affaires\u201d (USA), \u201cLe Fana de l\u2019Aviation\u201d (France), \u201cBolet\u00edn de la Fuerza A\u00e9rea\u201d (Uruguay), etc.<\/p>\n<p>Yet his greatest contribution to Latin American aerospace journalism probably was developing, coordinating and contributing to a number of independent regional projects, including the \u201cAir Information Group\u201d, \u201cAviaci\u00f3n Latinoamericana\u201d, \u201cLatin American Wings\u201d, \u201cLAW en Castellano\u201d and, ultimately, the respected magazine, \u201cPista 18\u201d. In the 1990s, he went on to start a number of Internet projects, including \u201cAeromilitaria Argentina\u201d and a remake of \u201cPista 18\u201d, as well as the short lived \u201cArchivo Pucar\u00e1\u201d and \u201cVuelo Rasante\u201d. Most of his work is being revived, updated and republished in Gaceta Aeron\u00e1utica.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his past, present and future contributions on Argentine military aviation, Carlos is our Senior Correspondent for Chilean aviation, provides innovation and technological advise for the evolution of Gaceta Aeron\u00e1utica and is initially coordinating the English version of the site.<\/p>\n<h3>Esteban G. Brea, Senior Correspondent &#8211; ARGENTINA<\/h3>\n<figure style=\"width: 256px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-102\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/staff-brea.jpg?resize=256%2C256\" width=\"256\" height=\"256\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Esteban G. Brea (Escobar, Argentina).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Born in September 1982, Esteban\u2019s first contact with aviation were Argentine Air Force Mirage IIIEA supersonic fighters flying-by over his home in Bel\u00e9n de Escobar, 50 kilometres North West of Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n<p>Given time and a little time, he started attending military open days, aerospace expositions and aviation museums, thus increasing his enthusiasm for anything aviation-related. In addition to experimenting with plastic and scratch air modelling, he went on to graduate as a mechanical technician at his home town\u2019s \u201cHip\u00f3lito Bouchard\u201d high school.<\/p>\n<p>In adult life, he was an Argentine Air Force academy cadet candidate and graduated as an aeronautical administration expert from \u201cUniversidad del Salvador\u201d in Buenos Aires. In addition, he got his private pilot license in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>After a few experimental contributions to \u201cVuelo Rasante\u201d, he went on to earn himself a distinguished career as an aviation writer and photographer producing contents for aerospace and defence sites such as \u201cPista 18\u201d and \u201cDintel-GID\u201d and defence, security magazine \u201c<em>Ares World Defence and Security<\/em>\u201d (all in Argentina), and Air Forces Monthly (United Kingdom).<\/p>\n<p>Gaceta Aeron\u00e1utica is pleased to count Esteban as its main \u201con the terrain\u201d military aviation correspondent in Argentina, often leading a team of fellow correspondents to a variety of events and sites both in Argentina and abroad. A number of his reports, though, are beginning to turn him into a high-quality historical researcher too.<\/p>\n<h3>Jos\u00e9 Luis Franco Laguna, Correspondent &#8211; SPAIN<\/h3>\n<figure style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gacetaeronautica.com\/gaceta\/wp-101\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/jlfl.jpg?w=1140\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jos\u00e9 Luis Franco Laguna (Zaragoza, Espa\u00f1a).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Luis was born in Zaragoza in 1968. He became interested in aviation with formations of Spanish Air Force Lockheed T-33s flying over his home town. As a teenager, he turned into an avid reader of aviation and defence publications. At the age of 18, he entered military service as a volunteer in his nation\u2019s air force and served for one full year at Zaragoza Air Base.<\/p>\n<p>As a part-time aerospace and defence researchers, photographer and writer, he has contributed to a number of Spanish publications, including \u201cRevista de Aeron\u00e1utica y Astron\u00e1utica\u201d, \u201cAerowings\u201d and \u201cFuerza A\u00e9rea\u201d. He is also a frequent contributor to a number of aircraft photos on-line data bases and portals. He\u2019s a member of the Spanish \u201cAire\u201d Association and \u201cLEZG Spotters\u201d photographers team and was the winner of the \u201cRevista de Aeron\u00e1utica y Astron\u00e1utica\u201d photographer award for six consecutive years (2009-2015).<\/p>\n<p>Gaceta Aeron\u00e1utica counts Jos\u00e9 Luis as his first Spanish and European correspondent.<\/p>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Social media<\/h3>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Esteban Brea <\/strong>(Buenos Aires, Argentina) also contributes to Gaceta Aeronautica as Community Manager, dealing with our Facebook and Twitter accounts, so as in aviation forums and mailing lists.<\/p>\n<h3>Artists<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sebasti\u00e1n Acosta<\/strong> (Santiago del Estero, Argentina) and <strong>Javier \u201cJavo\u201d Ruberto<\/strong> (Paran\u00e1, Argentina) also contribute regularly to Gaceta Aeron\u00e1utica with their aviation and general art designs.
