The city of Zaragoza is the fourth-largest Spanish city by population, and although it has extremely important aeronautical infrastructure, its airport has never stood out for its passenger traffic, but that situation is slowly being reversed.<\/p>\n

Regarding aeronautical matters, Zaragoza stands out for its Air Base, which, in addition to housing Wings 15 and 31 of the Spanish Air Force (Ejercito del Aire – EA), also houses numerous units of the force. It has two parallel runways, 12-30, which the EA shares with AENA, whose main commercial activity is not passengers, but air cargo, which is where commercial air operations truly excel.<\/p>\n

The city’s European size and passenger traffic inevitably encourage numerous international flights from Zaragoza. Domestic flights to tourist destinations are no less frequent, especially those that are well-established and served year-round.<\/p>\n

We review the scheduled and non-scheduled flights of each airline operating in Zaragoza for 2025: Ryanair, Vueling, Volotea, Air Horizont, Binter, and Wizz Air.<\/p>\n

Domestic Flights in 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Zaragoza has domestic flights mainly to classic tourist destinations: Palma de Mallorca, Menorca, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, and Santiago de Compostela. Connecting flights at Barajas Airport disappeared years ago and were replaced by the high-speed train, which is not necessarily more convenient for those flying.<\/p>\n

                Zaragoza also has air connections to various international destinations with flights from Zaragoza to Marrakech, Bergamo (Milan), Stansted (London), Beauvais (Paris), Charleroi (Brussels), Rome, Treviso (Venice), Bucharest, and Cluj Napoca, as well as the recent additions of Fez and Bologna.<\/p>\n

                                      Charter flights 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n

                                      There are numerous charter flights from Zaragoza to explore less-traveled destinations. These are trips that aren’t offered through the usual sales channels or follow the most common routes. Thus, the Maltese charter airline Air Horizont allows you to reach various destinations from Zaragoza: from more accessible cities to the most exotic locations for the Zaragoza public. Some of the options you can find include Jordan, Greece, Uzbekistan, and Egypt, among many others.                                         In summary<\/strong><\/h3>\n

                                        As we can see, the offer seems wide and varied. The issue is complicated by the fact that no airline operates flights to major European airports connecting to other major cities on the continent. This reduces the ease of flying to third destinations or receiving passengers from third destinations. Zaragoza’s maturity as a destination will come the day airlines once again provide services that truly connect the city and the Ebro Valley with the rest of the world.<\/p>\n
