Last January the second edition of Aeroexpo was held at the Moroccan city of Marrakech. The North African showbiz is becoming one of the biggest continent showcase for civil & military aviation, technology and services. Robert Nispeling and Ronald de Roig from Karo Aviation report the trade show.
Northern Chile’s crystal clear skies, low population density and limited air traffic provide an ideal background for dissimilar air combat training. Late in 2009, the South American nation was host to the second edition of a a large-scale, multi-national exercise gathering combat aircraft and crews from four American and one European air forces. Masked as a peace-restoring exercise, Salitre II was a golden opportunity to see American Eagles, Chilean Fighting Falcons and Tigers, Argentine Fighting Hawks, Brazilian Falcons and French Mirages practice the fine art and science of modern air combat. During October 2009 the Royal Saudi Air Force deployed haf a dozen F-15 and 175 supporting military personnel to Dijon (France), for the second edition of Green Shield training. Robert Nispeling from Karo Aviation travel to Dijon and reports from Base Aérienne 102.
