Volunteers

Gaceta Aeronáutica is permanently looking for volunteers interested in joining the project.

Even though all positions are honorary, joining the team can yield other benefits, including privileged access to aviation facilities, shows and information resources, flexible part-time schedules and full cooperation and support from the Publisher and other fellow team members.

At present, the following positions are available:

System engineer: Shall cooperate with the publisher by assuring the optimal performance of Gaceta Aeronáutica’s processing platform, propose and implement new web site features and generally lead the project’s information technology evolution and security. Ideally, should be experienced in WordPress content management technologies, PHP programming and MySQL data base management.

Events calendar editor: Shall maintain Gaceta Aeronáutica’s agenda & calendar. He/she is expected to stay in touch with event organizers in our audience markets (Argentina, Spain, Chile, USA, Mexico, etc.) and turn the calendar into a respected source for Gaceta Aeronáutica readers looking for opportunities to go on field trips.

Aviation art editor: Shall develop a new section dealing with aviation art productions by known or unknown artists in our audience markets. He/she is expected to turn the section in a respected show case for new or established aviation artists and their work.

Airlines correspondents: Volunteers in these positions are to provide dedicated coverage to airlines or airline groups in our audience markets, such as LATAM, Avianca, British/Iberia, Aerolíneas Argentinas/Austral, Gol, etc. Full accreditation with relevant airlines and related entities (IATA, ICAO, etc.) will be supported by the Chief Editor.

Manufacturer correspondents: Volunteers in these positions are to provide dedicated coverage to the most relevant aircraft manufacturers in the world or our audience markets, including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Lockheed Martin, AgustaWestland, Bell Helicopter, FAdeA, Enaer, etc. Full accreditation with relevant companies and related entities will be supported by the Chief Editor.

Aeromilitaria correspondents: Volunteers in these positions are to provide exclusive or non-exclusive coverage of military aviation affairs, both past, present and future, for nations among our target audiences, including Argentina, Spain, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Peru, USA, etc.

In addition to at least an elementary background in the relevant positions listed above, all candidates must possess a computer and reliable, full-time Internet access.

Ideally, the candidates should be fluent in both Spanish and English. But single-language candidates are also welcome, as they may partner with bilingual team members in order to increase production of both Spanish and English-language contents.
